    Property description


    The Vickers is a superb venue for your large family gathering, wedding or corporate get-together. This beautiful Victorian vicarage has been completely refurbished to the highest standards and has the flexibility to be used as the base for gatherings from 22 people to as many as 75.

    The property is situated in the village of Malborough, near Salcombe in the South Hams. A lovely, quaint village with a shop and traditional pubs in an area of outstanding natural beauty in South Devon. From the large balcony on the first floor you can enjoy panoramic views of glorious rolling countryside leading to the coast just a couple of miles away. You and your party can relax in sumptuous comfort enjoying spacious, state-of-the-art facilities within a period setting retaining the character of the old building.

    The house itself offers accommodation for either 22 people or an additional 14 if needed using the adjoining east wing of the property. For larger parties there is the option to also use the nearby hotel 200 yards away (sleeps 20) and two self-catering cottages opposite the hotel that sleep a further 12.

    The property has been fully renovated to a very high standard, retaining the character of the original building, but introducing a lavish level of comforts and facilities to ensure you and your guests feel pampered and indulged!

    - Kitchen with surround sound, 4 oven Aga, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, USA fridge, breakfast bar and an interesting glass 'window' in the floor looking into an illuminated Victorian well underneath.

    - Dining room leading off the kitchen with surround sound, dining table to seat 24, full Sky TV, DVD, 50' plasma screen.

    - Wet room leading into the garden with shower and WC, which can be used to accommodate well behaved dogs.

    The East Wing is available along with the main property and caters for up to 14 guests. It is separately accessed from the main house, but has an adjoining door on first floor so it can be let as one.

    Front door leading to entrance lobby and wet room with W/C, shower and wash hand basin. Through entrance lobby to lounge with double sofa bed, TV with DVD and CD player, Sky Free view. Stairs up to first floor landing with kitchen diner leading off. Kitchen has electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Dining area seats 8 people.

    Stairs up from first floor landing to second floor that has twin bed room with wash hand basin, TV/DVD player. Also from the landing onto Double bedroom with wash hand basin, TV/DVD player and a further double bedroom with TV/DVD player and wash hand basin. Attic bedroom with restricted headroom with double sofa bed and two twin beds and TV/DVD player. These second floor rooms share a bathroom with WC, wash hand basin and shower.

    Guide Price: £6,620 - £9,440 per week. Short Breaks: £3,641 - £7,552 for 2 nights. Security deposit: £1000. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. A larger deposit is required for wedding bookings.

    Terms: - Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price. - Energy costs: Included in the rental price. - End of stay cleaning: Included.     Location Information: Marlborough is dominated by All Saints Church, a landmark which can be seen for many miles around. The Church dates back to the 13th century and several local manors were mentioned in the Domesday book.
