    Two bedroom ground floor apartment. Located on the harbour front. Only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Stonehaven. There are a couple of pubs / restaurants on the harbour front, a lovely way to spend a warm summers evening sitting on the harbour wall enjoying a beer, with beautiful scenery surrounding you. There are 4 restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Not to mention some wonderful scenery along the coast line eg the beautiful St Cyrus Beach and Dunnottar Castle (where part of Hamlet was filmed). Indeed there are numerous castles, golf courses and sandy beaches around this area. Excellent view of the world famous spectacular hogmany fireball ceremony, which takes place right outside your door.

    "Spring holiday"

    We chose this as all on one level for an elderly relative. Setting was good by the harbour with 2 pubs and a restaurant very close by. The flat was clean comfortable and well equipped. Good position for touring in the area as close to the main road for Aberdeen and towns in the Cairngorms. As right by the road those sleeping in the front bedroom could be disturbed by late night revellers returning from the pubs and the early morning road sweeper - but this was minimal. Some noise also when the upstairs occupants were moving around - again this was minimal . We enjoyed our stay and although the wind was cold on occasion the weather was dry for most of our stay. We were lucky enough on one day on the rocks near near Portlethen to see a school of Dolphins swim by.

    Response to review:
    The two restaurants / bars along the harbour front are very appealing to visitors and locals, and there are occasionally late night revellers, but on a beautiful sunny evening it is such a lovely relaxed atmosphere at the harbour and extremely popular with all.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with teenagers and families with young children
