Located above the pretty creekside village of Port Navas, Inow Barn is the perfect retreat for getting away from it all and exploring the beautiful Helford river and the dramatic cliff walks and beaches of the coastline beyond. Set amongst rolling countryside there are many walks close by and Camra's pub of the year, which serves great beer and food, is less than a mile away.The waterside Ferryboat Inn at Helford Passage serves seafood and Port Navas oysters & musels. The nearby village of Constantine has two village shops for all your provisions and the famous port of Falmouth, with many art galleries and cafes is only a fifteen minute drive. To the south lies the dramatic coastline of the Lizard Peninsular with it's many quite beaches, coves and villages and some of Cornwall's most famous gardens are very nearby. Inow Barn is the perfect location for either a quiet, relaxing holiday or as a base to explore all the wonderful scenery and attractions that Cornwall has to offer.

1 BED SLEEPS 2 BARN is ground floor with one step into the living room. The door way to the bedroom and bathroom are extra wide. Parking is outside with level access.
3 BED SLEEPS 6 BARN = large lawned garden with fruit trees & gravelled courtyard w/ table/chairs/ BBQ at rear, small enclosed flower garden at the front.
1 BED SLEEPS 2 BARN = a gravelled private garden to the front & lawn to the side with outdoor tables and barbecues . The garden gets sun all day. There are fruit & herbs, coriander, mints, rosemary as well as a bed of wild rocket and salad burnett.
Important notes on accommodation
The barns have wood burners as well as central heating and comfy sofas. Kindling and a basket of logs provided. Further logs provided at cost.

About the area
The nearest beaches are to be found on the Helford river, five minutes drive away or larger sandy beaches can be found towards falmouth (10 minutes drive) or towards the lizard (20 minutes drive) The dramatic Kynance Cove is 25 minutes drive away.
There are several good golf courses near by, in the view from the barn is the Budock Vean Golf & Country Club Hotel, while both Falmouth and Mullion courses are only a 10/20 minutes drive away.
How to get there
A car is handy due to the rural location however for cyclists the owner will happily pick up luggage at Falmouth train station (7 miles away) or for those wanting a walking only holiday, pick up is available from either Truro or Falmouth (both have rail and coach connections)
Constantine (for local shopping) 1.5 miles. Trengilly Wartha pub 1 mile. Falmouth (sea-side town) 7 miles. Trebah sub-tropical garden 1.5 miles. Glendurgan Garden 1.5 miles. About the Owner
owners Peter and Dan, an architect & gardener discovered Inow Barn as a derlict milking parlour 17 yrs ago and have thoughtfully designed and built it into a stunning home featured in BBC Good Homes magazine. They have let Inow previously with many guests returning each year. They have developed a productive organic visitor garden a mile away which is open to the public. Peter, an artist, works from a studio there when not teaching spatial design at the nearby University college Falmouth. Dan is a freelance gardener and teacher and is happy to offer guided tours of the nearby gardens. He is also a keen wild food forager and a qualified maseur. Both of which he is happy to offer guests. With great local knowledge from over 20 yrs in the area a bespoke holiday plan is offered.

Why this location?
Inow Barn sits in an idyllic east/west facing position overlooking the quintesential creekside village of Port Navas on the Helford river. The redundant barns have had their huge potential realised so satisfying the desire to build and garden. With no noise of traffic or light pollution the sounds of river birds and the night sky can easily be enjoyed. Breakfast can be eaten as the sun rises to the front of the barn while camp fires & bbq's are treats as it sets. A sense of remoteness and only minutes walk from the waters edge in several directions but only 15 mins from the artisitic seaside town of Falmouth and 30 mins from the Cathedral city Truro.
