    A delightful collection of restored 18th Century Cornish cottages that were originally fishermen’s dwellings and now make eight attractive self contained holiday cottages positioned around a sunny courtyard garden, and just a stone’s throw from the beach. We also have two lovely self-contained apartments in an elevated position, with fabulous views over Port Isaac Bay and Port Gaverne. All of our properties have been rated 4* Gold by Visit England, with a 100% rating for cleanliness (Jan 2014). Our local inn dates back to the 17th century and specialises in local produce, particularly seafood. Sunbathe or swim in crystal-clear waters from the small beach, or explore the North Cornwall Heritage Coast - one of the most picturesque and staggeringly beautiful stretches of coastline in the country. The beach is great for families, with excellent, safe swimming and lots of rock pools and caves to explore - we provide fishing nets in each property. We welcome well-behaved dogs. Free Wifi.

    Apt Upper Tregudda (Sleeps 8. 4 Bedrooms)

    This four bedroom apartment has spectacular panoramic sea views from all of the windows.
    The large bright living room leads to a fully equipped kitchen & dining room.
    A balcony wraps around the front of the apartment with sun loungers and garden furniture from which it is possible to look out onto Port Isaac bay and headlands. Access from the living room, dining room and master bedroom, via French doors, makes this balcony a prominent extension of the building, - great on a summers evening for watching the sun setting over the sea.
    Gardens and parking are available immediately outside the property and a set of winding steps lead up to the main entrance.
    The Cornish Coastal Path leads up the back of the property and brings you out on the top of the hill giving access to the dramatic headlands and makes for a perfect evening stroll.

    Accessibility
    Rashleigh is a single storey property with a spacious feel and, with its open-plan living/dining room and kitchen can accommodate wheelchair users. Parking for 2 cars is just outside the property, and there is a disabled ramp up to the front door. Rashleigh has a shower room as well as a separate second toilet.

    Outside
    Our self contained holiday cottages are positioned around a sunny south facing shared courtyard garden, available exclusively for our guests. It is a very sheltered garden, part slate, part grass with shrubs and flower borders. We also have a children's sand pit. It is very private and safe for young children and access is via each cottage. Garden furniture, sun loungers, children's fishing nets, BBQ, body boards are all available for our guests use.

    Upper Tregudda has its own private balcony as well as the use of a shared garden, both south facing. The garden is a level grassed area to the front of the property looking directly out to sea and drops steeply away at the end of the garden. There is some fencing at the end of the garden but there is a pathway and steps leading directly down to the road which are down a steep slope. Garden furniture, sun loungers & fishing nets are provided.

    Changeover day
    Depending on the property, our changeover days are Friday or Saturday. Arrival 3pm (4pm in Tregudda). Departure at 10am.

    About the area

    Coast/Beach
    Our cottages are only 50 meters stroll from the beach at Port Gaverne - a sheltered inlet on the North coast of Cornwall that has a small sandy beach at low tide, rock pools and caves, cliff walks with magnificent views and stunning sunsets. The beach is great for families, with excellent, safe swimming and lots of rock pools and caves to explore. With the Cornish Coastal Path running right by the cottages, experience dramatic coastal walks direct from your door.

    How to get there
    Newquay Airport is approximately 30 minutes drive away. Whilst there is a bus route which stops in Port Gaverne, most of our guests bring their own car, which would be recommended.

    Distances
    We are located half a mile from picturesque Port Isaac. Wadebridge, the local town, is approximately 30 minutes drive away. Wadebridge is the starting point of the Camel Trail, bike or walk to Padstow. Sailing at Rock, surfing at Polzeath are both within 15 minutes drive. Further afield, The Eden Project is approximately 1 hours drive.
