Foremans Cottage is a stylish yet accessible retreat on the beach at Lunan Bay. It has been featured in many interiors and lifestyle magazines and is fitted out to a high standard by its interior designer owner. The cottage has been described as 'property nirvana' by journalists as it features a host of features such as a boudoir style master bedroom, log burner, open fire, drench shower, and aga. There is a large open plan area downstairs which is painted in calming soothing colours, and a mix of old and new pieces, giving the property the feel that you are in someones home not a rental property. The grounds are fairly extensive and mostly laid to lawn with decked areas for entertaining around the cottage. There is a barbecue and ample parking and disabled access. The accessible yet peaceful location makes it a great base for visiting other parts of Scotland or for spending a holiday walking the beach and relaxing. Bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite bath, bedroom 2 with double bed, bedroom 3 with double bed. All bedrooms have crisp white linen and are freshly decorated. Watch the stars from the upstairs bedrooms on a clear night.
En-suite to bedroom 1 with bath mixer taps, designer sink, WC, bedroom 2 with shower and sink and WC, master shower room with drench shower and designer sink and WC. Enjoy a fluffy bath in the designer bath or a hot drench shower in the designer wet room.
Electric 2 oven Aga, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, wine cooler, open fire, cooks mixer tap on Belfast sink. A large kitchen table to enjoy meals with an open fire.

Open plan kitchen to lounge with table to seat 6, writing desk, armoire, sofa, chair 2 pouffee seats, log burner and doors to outside decked area. TV point.
Towels and linen included. Property is cleaned weekly, linen changed at handover.

Decked areas around property with a seating area off the lounge and off the kitchen area. Barbecue area in sheltered area off kitchen. The property is in close proximity to the River Lunan and is 300 yards away from the lovely sand dunes and beautiful beach.

Preferred changeover day is Saturday. Arrival at the cottage no earlier than 3pm on a Saturday and please vacate by 10am in order to allow for cleaning.
£200 deposit payable at time of booking (non refundable) and balance due one calendar month prior to stay.

About the area
Lunan Bay beach on the doorstep which is a natural horseshoe shaped bay either side of the Lunanwater. It is one of Scotlands top 10 beaches and is rated as one of the cleanest 2010. The sands stretch around the bay which is referred to often as one of Scotlands 'secret beaches'. See 'google' photographs of the beach and surrounding areas.
The cottage is within easy travelling distance of the Championship Golf Courses of Carnoustie and St Andrews and the local course of Letham Grange. Book early for the Ryder Cup in 2014.
Special Interest Holidays
The Foreman's Cottage is set on one of Scotland's best beaches, and would be a lovely place for painters to relax and create there masterpiece landscapes.

Dundee airport is 45 minutes away. Aberdeen airport is 1 hour away. Car hire recommended. Nearest train station is Montrose on the main Aberdeen line, 5 miles away.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. A well-equipped and extremely tastefully furnished cottage with great decked patio areas. Ideal for all age groups.
Stunning cottage in a stunning location
We love Foremans Cottage we will definitely be back. A real home from home and a chance to chill without having to drive for hours.
Our kids and dog loved the beach (and so did we). We didn't really leave Lunan as the weather was Fantastic.
