About this property

Large Unusual House In Village Conservation Area

It provides characterful and substantive accommodation for families, ramblers, cyclists and visitors to nearby Alton Towers. Well behaved dogs are welcome with pre agreement. The house sits in the heart of the beautiful listed village of Alton, close to pubs, excellent restaurants, late opening shops and the famous Pugin roofed Alton Castle.
The house has a large conservatory overlooking a good sized and part walled garden. The downstairs has a library and music room, and there are lots of books, toys and videos for children.
Old Castle Inn is 1 Mile From Alton Towers Theme Park, and on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
Saturday and Sunday are not changeover/arrival days.
We try to keep the price dow for families with children. Please note that for all adult groups there is an additional £50 per person per stay after the first 7.

Great
Booked for my Son's wedding in Tissington after my original booking on another property had been cancelled at the last minute. Gabrielle was very helpful and provide a lot of useful information about the local area. The check in process was seamless and the property was as per the pictures. There was plenty of room for our party of 11 and no issues encountered during our stay.

Lovely property in a great location
This was a lovely, comfortable property in a beautiful little village. My family stayed here over Christmas and it was very welcoming to arrive to find a fully decorated tree. There was plenty of space for the 11 of us plus dog and it was lovely and warm. We enjoyed exploring the local area, although regrettably didn’t get a chance to try out the local pubs.

We lived here very happily until we moved down south for work. We were unable to sell so we have now converted it to a holiday let. We love this house and come up as often as we can.
