Beautiful cottage In beautiful location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage. It is situated at the end of a quiet lane with fantastic views over the Wye Valley. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard with a lovely garden. There are lots of interesting walks that you can start from the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and was well equipped. We would highly recommend!

Lovely hideaway with great walks
Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Very secluded with great walks, variety of birds visiting and tranquil garden while still being close to beautiful little towns. Would definitely return if looking for relaxation with options. Lane a little daunting initially but became less so after first journey. Loved this place🤩. Host close by if needed but we had all we required at the property.

About the host

Having becoming thoroughly enchanted by the Wye Valley whilst at University in Bristol in the late 90s and more recently whilst living and working in Bristol, I decided to move here in the summer of 2010.

I love holidaying in self-catering cottages in the UK and overseas and so when the opportunity of acquiring Spring Cottage - then a pretty but neglected cottage surrounded by beautiful woodland - presented itself I jumped at the opportunity and applied all that I had learnt that works (taking note of the many things that don't) in completely restoring the cottage and providing guests with a thoroughly contemporary and special holiday-cottage experience.

Why they chose this property

I love the Wye Valley - the forests carpeted with bluebells and primroses in the spring, the wild flower riverside meadows in the summer, the vistas from the top of the valley over the trees in the autumn and the crisp air and welcoming feel of a log burner in the winter - it truly is a place for all seasons!

What makes this property unique

Prices are fully inclusive and include: Egyptian Cotton bed linen with beds being made prior to your arrival. Thick 100% cotton set of towels per person. Hand soap, shampoo, loo paper for the bathroom. Generous supply of wood and kindling. Essential pantry items including tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper etc. Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Fresh herbs, apples and figs in the garden (seasonally available). Board games, books, DVDs, videos. Maps, walking guides and local information. Additionally, all our guests will receive: Welcome pack including locally laid eggs and freshly baked bread.
