"Luxury villa in idyllic setting"
Dar Tamazerte is a beautiful luxury villa in a super location with easy access to both Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. The villa is superbly furnished and offers all the little extras that make for a relaxing and very comfortable stay. The villa was spotless and spacious, wifi worked fine and hot water was plentiful. Set in superb well maintained gardens filled with birdlife and with a fabulous private pool the villa provides the perfect environment to unwind and take in the views across to the Atlas Mountains. The staff were very friendly and fun and keen to help with everything from serving iced mint tea to searching out tortoises in the garden. The local driver was also excellent. The meals were delicious, well planned and carefully presented. An excellent place to stay.

"A Perfect retreat"
I have just spent an amazing week at Dar Tamazerte with three girl friends. The Villa is very stylish with authentic Moroccan décor and splendid gardens. We were thoroughly looked after by Latifa and Souad who provided wonderful breakfasts on the upper terrace and lunches in the leafy gardens both with a view of the Mountains. We enjoyed bartering in Marrakech Market, trekking the lower areas of the Atlas Mountains and a trip to Oulidia which boasts a magnificent rugged coastline packed with birdlife. Great days out and always to return to a warm smiley welcome and the smell of home cooking. I can highly recommend this wonderful villa from which you can access a bit of adventure or enjoy the truly tranquil gardens and pool area.

"Luxurious and great value"
A wonderful and luxurious villa, perfect for relaxing away from the chaos of Marrakech. Fatima's cooking was fantastic and Saida's service was very professional and attentive. With their cheerfulness and lovely smiles they ensured we had a delightful stay at Dar Tamazerte. For a family of 5 there was an abundance of space with many different places around the house or garden to relax. Naturally, when temperatures were over 40deg, it was too easy to spend the whole day around (or in) the pool where we enjoyed Fatima's fruit cocktails or coffee and tea. The villa is just a few km from the Aqua Park which we got to using the local bus. The park was very clean with great slides. Even at peak times there were no queues so a great alternative to Marrakech or the mountains for a day out. If you do find the local water pressure is low, just tell Saida and she'll switch on the house pump in the pool house ... and problem solved. Would definitely recommend a stay at this villa. We hope to return!!

Absolutely beautiful villa outside of Marrakech. We had an amazing week in June and were looked after extremely well by Latifa & Souida - the food was fantastic. Latifa's cocktial was a particular favourite - very refreshing! The pool is an ideal location to relax next to and the gardens are stunning. There are lots of great outdoor areas to dine al fresco and the bedrooms have their own terraces which is lovely. We only left the villa once in the whole week! Did not want to leave and looking forward to a return trip!

Well, needless to say, none of us wants to go home!. We have loved and fully appreciated all that you have created here - a real oasis of calm where we have been able to unwind instantly. Its been such a blessing not to have to think about ( food) shopping, cooking and clearing up. Latifa and Souida are gems, their care, attention and warm welcome are second to none - thank you girls!. We've all enjoyed playing tennis - what a setting! our memories will keep us uplifted for quite some time.

About the Owner
I live in Cheshire with my husband who is an orthopaedic surgeon, we have 2 children at university . We have always enjoyed travelling as a family and have been all over the world but now spend most of our leisure time at our villa Dar Tamazerte, we often take friends with us and do a bit of travelling within the country usually hiring a car and driving to our destination, the roads once out of the cities are quiet and generally of a good condition, the people we meet on our way are always friendly and keen to show us around. We have stayed in some lovely Riad's ( much nicer than the chain hotels) and eaten some truly memorable meals.

Why this location?
Having had many holidays in the last 10 years in Morocco, i love the people the excotic nature of the country and the ease of getting there , about 3.5 hours flying time from the UK. I came across a ' For Sale' sign on the side of the road in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and thought what a wonderful place to have a house that was 6 years ago and i now own with Liz Dunley this wonderful house! It is near enough Marrakech for visiting souks/restaurants etc but away from all the noise and heat it is a real oasis and i am sure you will love it as much as we do
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Our villa is in a superb position in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains . One of the greatest pleasures is to eat breakfast on the roof terrace looking out onto the mountains and especially in spring when they are snow capped and the air is clear it is stunning. For the warmer months we have a lovely eating area in the garden covered by an arbour with climbing plants. There is a lovely little alcove by the swimming pool for the post lunch nap or the hammock in the garden is always a favourite.. you may spy our resident tortoise. We are very fortunate to have a superb gardener, a house keeper( Saoud) who looks after us bringing drinks out to the pool , serving our meals and generally tidying up after us. We have a cook who provides lovely meals. A house manager to help arrange trips e
