Beautiful house and great location.

Fantastic house ,very beautiful and extremely comfortable. Location is great with a very steep walk up to the centre of Valletta. The house is surrounded by shops and easy reach to bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend a stay here but be aware that if you have any mobility issues maybe the location is not for you . We would definitely return if we were to visit in the future.

Fantastic stay in Valletta!

My mum and I stayed a week at Jame's apartment which was very well located in the city (within 5-10 mins of the toen centre and 15 mins walk from the bus station), there were plnety of places to eat nearby as well as shop locally. We loved the apartment with its decor and would definately recommended anyone else staying here.

Ideal location, traditional house, perfect!

The accommodation is 10 mins walk into Valetta, close to ferries and bus station. Traditional house, beautifully furnished with all that you need. Communication with James/Paul was immediate and friendly. Could not have asked for a better location and we enjoyed our stay (our third time in Malta) immensely. Nearby. Restaurants in Republik street offer superb meals and there are plenty to chose from.

Fabulous, like stepping back in time!

Loved the apartment, it was so old, with gorgeous stone, beams, aesthetically pleasing authentic, a charming place to stay for one week. Liked the arched walls, added to its antiquity. The fans were great for the hot nights. I appreciated the fact that there was milk when we arrived particularly as we arrived around midnight. The owner also had two kinds of cereal for the guests. Everything was there that we needed including a nice hot shower! The apartment was spotless, couldn't fault it, just watch out for the low stone ceiling when going down the steps as you could hit your head. It's located quite close to the centre and there is a shop around the corner. There are a lot of steps and they are uphill so be prepared for a lot of walking. There is a lot to see in Valletta: museums, palaces, 5D movie theatre etc so you won't be bored and the panoramic views are breathtaking. The bus terminal is quite near, at the top of republic street and it's quite cheap to travel. There are an abundance of shops and restaurants to choose from with octopus being a popular choice on the menu! Take care to bring repellent as I saw many people with insect bites! Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay!!

Since I can remember I have painted and been interested in my surroundings. My childhood memories are of the wonderful Maltese islands and very fascinated and enchanted by Malta's capital city Valletta, the shops and cafes, the churches, the panoramic views and the history of the capital. Now we reside in the UK but love to share our town house Antiqua for a real Maltese holiday accommodation feel.. My only real qualification is my heart which is where I paint from. If its a need, a passion and in your blood you will be an artist, that's all the credibility I need. Enjoy my work, the viewers enjoyment is worth more than any acclaim. You can see some of my paintings from time to time at our charming townhouse, in Valletta or at the qawra apartment.

Why they chose this property

Since my childhood I was enchanted by Malta's capital city, a city built by the Knights of St John, a city dotted with churches and St John cathedral was my favourite, the panoramic views of the great Valletta harbour, the narrow stepped streets and all the history of our capital.

Kindly note, that there may be works& renovation on the palazzo above our property from 25th February 2024. Works are only carried out during daytime hours.
