We offer both bed & breakfast and two beautiful private self-contained apartments independent of the villa. Enjoy access to a 13 metre pool with stunning countryside views, overlooking our groves of orange, lemon, grapefruit and pomegranate trees. Casa la Parra is located on the edge of the village of Algodonales, one of the Andalucian pueblo blancos (white villages). We are less than 5 minutes from the plaza, with plenty of shops, banks, restaurants, cafes and tapas bars. By car you will be within easy driving distance of Ronda, Sevilla, Cadiz, Jerez, Malaga, Antiquera and Cordoba. Gibraltar is just over 2 hours away. Granada with the magnificent Alhambra palace, is just over 2 hours from us. We can arrange activities for you - just let us know your requirements and we will do our best to help. Algodonales is the perfect base for discovering Andalucia. Registered with Andalucia Ministry of Tourism ‘Casa rural’.

Comfortable family-run B&B in our beautiful luxe villa on the edge of Algodonales in the heart of Andalucia. Our large air-conditioned bedrooms are bright and sunny, overlooking the orange grove. All have en-suite bathrooms. For breakfast we serve freshly-squeezed orange and grapefruit juice from our orchard. You can enjoy fresh eggs, homemade jams & marmalades, cereal, toast, croissants, seasonal fruits, Spanish meats and regional cheeses. Teas and freshly brewed coffee. Access to a shared mezzanine lounge for guests and separate lounge with open-log burning fire for the cooler months. Shared 13 x 4m outdoor swimming pool.

The studio apartment is on one level, suitable for people who may have difficulty with stairs. We are sorry but the apartment is not suitable for those using wheelchairs.
A large shared 13x4m swimming pool with Roman steps available for guests. We have 6 sun loungers and a table and chairs where you can read, relax and unwind by the pool. Outdoor shower and bathroom. There is a large decking area for sunbathing adjacent to the pool with a two-seater sofa, coffee table and chairs. You can also spend time in our private secluded garden under the lemon tree with a barbecue and seating area. You are welcome to use our large lawn for a game of badminton.
In the lush gardens and ecological orchard, you will find orange, lemon, grapefruit, nut and olive trees. When in season, you can also enjoy organic produce from our vegetable plot. Animal-lovers are welcome to meet our two Spanish horses in the stables situated at the bottom of our land. Lamps & candles for your use on summer evenings spent outdoors, while stargazers are in for a treat on a clear night. Plenty of private safe off-road parking available.
Important notes on accommodation
We are registered with the Andalucia Ministry of Tourism "Casa Rural" our number is: VTAR/CA/00064.
For the summer, fans are used in combination with an aircon unit to keep you cool. For the cooler months a free standing gas heater is also available. The bedroom/lounge have wall heaters and during the winter months we supply you with electric blankets and cosy warm duvet. The pool is 90cm deep at the shallow end and 2 metres at the deepest end. There are steps at the shallow end and a ladder at the deepest end. A shower/wc is on the pool level and an outdoor shower right next to the pool.

Notes on prices
A surcharge may be made during Christmas and the New Year period.
Check in is from 3pm. Check out at 10.30am. We need 3 hours to do a full clean and changeover of the apartment. Please note, if we do not have another booking on the same day, we can usually be flexible about check in and check out times.
Please feel free to email or telephone us directly to discuss you requirements and to check availability. Deposits of £100 or 100€ will be required to secure the booking. We also accept PayPal.
Balance to be paid on your arrival. If you cancel your booking less than 21 days prior to your arrival, we will be unable to refund the deposit unless we are able to rent out the accommodation again.
We offer discounts of 5% for 2 weeks, 10% for 3 weeks and 15% for 4 weeks.

About the area
Marbella and Puerto Banus are just a 90 minute drive away. The beaches of the Costa Del Sol are also 90 minutes away. There are a range of different beaches including sandy, stony, rock pools and child-safe bays. The Atlantic beaches of the Costa de la Luz with all its water sports facilities is also an hour and half away.
There are two golf courses nearby - Arcos gardens in Arcos de la Frontera is 40 minutes away and Montecastillo, on the edge of Jerez is an hour's drive. It is an 18 hole course and some say it is one of the finest in Europe. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
We are two hour's drive from Granada and two and a half from the Sierra Nevada.
Special Interest Holidays
The apartment is a short drive away from Zahara and the Grazalema natural park, which is a popular centre for both walkers and bird watchers. Alternatively we can arrange for you explore the beautiful landscape on horseback or by bicycle. Local activities include golf, windsurfing, kite surfing, bird watching, rambling, quad biking, four wheel driving, kayaking, equestrian activities and language courses. We can arrange some activities for you - let us know your requirements and we will do our best to help.
How to get there
Car hire is highly recommended. Book online to find the best prices or contact us for details. Sevilla 1 hour 26 mins (98.4 Km). Malaga Airport 2 hours (125 Km). Jerez Airport 1 hour 17 mins (83.5 Km). Gibraltar 2 hours 15 mins drive (150 Km). Bringing your car over from the UK? Santander (ferry) 11 hours.
For those not wishing to drive, we can arrange transfers from and to the airports of Malaga, Sevilla, and Jerez.
Grazalema - 30 mins. Zahara - 20 mins. Ronda - 30 mins. Jerez - 1 hr. Seville - 1hr 25. Malaga - 1hr 45. Granada - 2hrs. Cordoba - 2hrs 25mins, Arcos de la Frontera - 40 mins. Gibraltar - 2 hrs 15 mins.
There are regular bus services to and from the village of Algodonales. We are a short 10 min walk from the bus station. Buses from Sevilla and Malaga run throughout the day.
The apartment is only a few minutes walk up to the village with its wonderful orange-tree lined plaza. There you will find a church, many bakeries, banks (with ATM), plenty of shops and supermarkets. There are many different tapas bars, cafes and restaurants to explore. There is a 24 hour medical centre and pharmacy in the village.
There are many beautiful walks that can be taken from the apartment. Bird-watching is popular in the area and it is home to a range of birds including eagles and vultures. The village of Algodonales is situated on the edge of the Grazalema national park. The area is fantastic for cycling and mountain biking, fishing, painting and walking. If you need any advice, we can provide you with in-depth information about the region and its attractions.
The area behind the village is world famous for its paragliding and hang-gliding. You can see the north east take off from the balcony of the apartment.
In the village are the workshops of the Bernal family, world famous for their production of both classical and flamenco guitars.
We'd be happy to recommend you on the best places to visit and eat in and around the village and surrounding areas.
Our apartment is equipped with travel books, a mini library, maps, hiking/biking routes and any other information that you might need to make your stay as interesting as possible.
Apartment guests can can enjoy a complimentary welcome hamper including locally produced 5 seeded bread, butter, tea & coffee, milk, and homemade lemon drizzle cake with lemons from our grove.
An aromatherapy or reflexology massage can be arranged.
Free high-speed wifi in the apartment and decking area is available which allows for up to 5 devices i.e. phones, ipads, laptops etc to be connected at any one time.

"Mi casa es su casa"
Julie is a very friendly hostess who certainly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean and welcoming and the en-suite was large. The pool is well kept and very welcoming in the heat of the day and the setting is beautiful. Breakfast on the terrace is wonderful with beautiful views and homemade jam! The village plaza is only a few minutes walk away and offers plenty of choice for eating and drinking at very moderate prices. The locals all congregate in the plaza in the evenings and gave us plenty to watch as we wiled away our evenings. There are many places to visit in the area and Julie is full of helpful information. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely return!

Why this location?
We love this amazing area of Andalusia with its ever-changing landscape and great weather, having over 300 days of sunshine.The local Spanish people are friendly and helpful. We are in an ideal location to explore the Andalusian countryside and many walks can be taken here from our door step. You can also enjoy bird watching, cycling, horse riding, hiking and sight seeing. It is an ideal base to totally relax or visit the pueblo blancos (white villages). Zahara lake and the village of Grazalema are but a short drive away from the apartment. We are just one hour's drive from Sevilla and Jerez and a 30 minute trip away from the historic town of Ronda.

There you can find many tapas bars to eat and drink. The village has several banks, a chemist and supermarkets. There is a local market which takes place every Thursday morning.
