The link-detached villa is situated in a beautiful position next to the Rio Sienna with views of the church, countryside and mountains. Most of the time the river is a dry river bed but periodically water from reservoirs in the mountains is released into it. As it is the end villa the garden is very private. The pool is at the front of the property and has substantial sunbathing areas. To the rear, overlooking the river is a stone BBQ and dining area. The garden has recently been landscaped and is maturing well. There are many walks in the surrounding orange and olive groves and the mountains and reservoirs are a 15 min drive away with outdoor activity facilities available. Panoramica Golf Course is nearby with various bars and restaurants. The coastal resorts of Peniscola and Vinaros are a short drive away with excellent beaches and tourist facilities. Valencia and Barcelona are both about a 2 hour drive away. The nearest airport is Reus (Salou) an hour away.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 have double beds.

The villa itself is one level but there are 2 steps up to the entrance door and down from the covered terrace to the pool area. The garage/utility is also a step down.
There is a large covered terrace with table and chairs and spiral stairs leading to the first floor solarium which has wonderful views. At the rear of the villa there is a large BBQ and adjacent stone table and benches. The pool area has non slip tiles and sun loungers and chairs. The gardens and pool are regularly maintained to a high standard. There is a car port and parking.
Important notes on accommodation
There is a solar shower by the pool, and the pool has a solar cover which quests can use to increase the water temperature. The owners representative is an English lady who will help if there are any problems.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per night in UK pounds, but if it is easier to pay in euros this can be arranged.
The changeover day is flexible. The villa is available from 4pm on the arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
A 20% deposit is is required to reserve your requested dates. The balance and £150 refundable security deposit becomes payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. The security deposit will be returned after checking the villa. Welcome packs, flight and car hire info available on request. If you prefer to pay in euros this can be arranged at the current exchange rate.

About the area
Peniscola is 25 mins drive away. The old town perches on a rocky promonitary topped with a medieval castle. It has typical cobbled streets with bars and restaurants. Vinaros which has blue flagged beaches is closer (20 mins) and is famous for its king prawns. There are markets held most days at the different towns in the area.
Panoramica Golf Course is 10 min drive from the villa, designed by Bernard Langer. Opened in 1995 it is a quality 72 par course. English is spoken by the receptionist.
Special Interest Holidays
The villa is 30 min from the River Ebro Delta, which is renowned for its wildlife and fishing. The villa is less than 1 hour away from Port Aventura Themepark and Waterpark.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Reus (near Salou) which is about an hour away 80km. A new airport is currently being built near Castellon which will be slightly nearer. It is also possible to travel from Valencia 150km and Barcelona 200km. Car hire is recommended.
The villa is situated on a small urbanisation called Moli de L'om, which has a friendly bar with a new crazy golf park and a renovated mill which is now a hotel. 5 minutes walk to nearest village which has a couple of shops and bars and 10 minutes drive to Ulldecona or Sienna which are larger and have supermarkets and banks. There is a Carrefour hypermarket at Vineros. Morella which has a large medieval castle and interesting churches and shops is 65km west and is worth visiting.
The area is famous for its cava, olives, seafood, oranges and artichokes. There are lots of markets towns and typical Spanish villages, monasteries, lakes, National Parks and castles. There are fiestas throughout the year. There are many traditional Spanish restaurants in the surrounding villages and a variety of eateries along the coast. Its also possible to catch trains at either Ulldecona or Vineros which go to either Barcelona or Valencia, or the resorts in between. The villa is located in Catalonia, with our local village being called Barri En Castell, but on the opposite side of the river is the village of San Rafael del Riu which is actually in Valencia. The 2 villages are either side of a bridge.

Just got back from staying in your villa for two relaxing weeks. Photos on the web don't do the villa justice the garden and pool area are absolutely gorgeous lots of beautiful walks with the dogs. Plenty of villages to look around and nice restaurants to go too Valencia is a must to go to and have a look around. All in all a great holiday would love to go back.
Recommended for: Age 55+, pet friendly, sightseeing and families with young children
About the Owner
My husband Dave and I have owned this villa since it was built in 2006. We are now semi retired 50's & go to the villa about 4 times a year. (before 2006 we were mainly going on long haul holidays). We have made some really nice friends on the urbanisation and really enjoy our visits. We really chill out~ just relaxing on terrace, looking at every changing distant mountains and listening to birds. Also walk alot and like finding new villages to explore. Relatives and friends also holiday there and this year our new grandchild is going.
Its a lovely unspoilt area.

Why this location?
The area is rural~ mainly orange and olive groves. But you are only 20 minutes from the coast if you fancy busier nightlife or more touristy facilities.
