The property is situated in the residential part of town and only takes 10-15 minutes walk to reach the very heart of it.
The famous caves are 4 km away with very frequent bus services.
Typical villages like Frigiliana and Torrox are just a few kilometres away.
There are several coach tours to the Alhambra of Granada.
The town offers all sorts of usual facilities like bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, banks etc.
There is a municipal leisure centre with heated swimming pool.
There are also tennis courts in the town.

I have been holidaying in Nerja for 16 years, and have stayed at this property a few times, most recently in September 2013. I have always found the property to be of a high standard, well equipped, clean, comfortable and secure. The pool area is great if you are feeling lazy and its great to be able to just nip into the house if you want a drink or something to eat. Burriana beach is 10 mins walk away & is well worth visiting - it has plenty of restaurants, one that I would highly recommend is Moreno. The property is in a quiet area but well located for walking into the town, again about 10 mins. For me, its a perfect location and I would recommend it. I would rent this property again if it was available.

"One to avoid"
At first sight this looked like it was to be a pleasant place to stay in a superb resort. The smiles faded very quickly and we had little choice but to leave the property after 4 nights. We would have gone earlier but for the fact we had made certain plans. The problems were many, the worst of which was the uncomfortable nights on a mattress that was well past its best. The springs protruded through and prevented any sleep at all. When we looked to see if we could do anything about it, we found stained sheets and mattress - awful. On arrival we wanted a cup of tea. We found filthy crockery and cutlery. We washed up a few for our needs and proceeded to use just those few items and had to eat out far more than we wanted to. The bath anti-slip mat was rotten and disintegrated when it was moved and the amount of slime underneath was evidence to the lack of cleaning. The towels have seen better days and a number of them have been frayed at the edges and need replacing. I have photos showing all of the above as the owner has declined to accept these complaints. There were other problems - too many to list them all here. We were told that the managing agent would contact us within two days of arrival. This didn't happen so we phoned them after getting back to the property from a day out. We were told that as it was outside office hours to call back the following day. I explained the issues and said that we would be vacating the premises the following day. We were told that the agent would come round early to talk to us. She hadn't appeared by 10:45 so we left. A total don't care attitude. I have complained to the owner who defended her agent and did not ask to see the supporting photos that I had offered. I cannot recommend this property to anybody and am certain that there will be far better places to rent than this one. I didn't want to give any stars as a rating but was forced to give one as this system does not allow a no star rating, which is all it is worth.
