Amazing.
We have spent a wonderful time in CasaTulipa Rosa. It was spotlessly clean and Monica, who looks after the house was very helpful. The house has been beautifully and sensitively renovated and one of the things I really appreciated was how unclutteredthe rooms are. The pool is excellent and is cleaned twice a week.it was hard to drag my grandchildren away from it to go into Acqua Terme, until we discovered the amazing Crema di Gelata ice cream shop. The views from the dining table on the balcony are spectacular, we ate most meals there watching great lightening storms over the distant hills. There are also some good walksfrom thehouse. The owners were very accessable through email. I would definately recommend Casa Tulipa Rosa for a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings.

Peaceful and relaxing
We have just returned from a weeks' holiday in this beautiful, rustic Italian farm house. We were warmly welcomed by Monica who showed us around the house, gave us a few tips and even arranged a meal for us at a nearby restaurant and then left us to it. Here's a bit about the house from the point of view of a family of 9 people: The kitchen facilities are small but adequate. There is no microwave and the oven is small but then we didn't go on holiday to spend the whole time in the kitchen. The kitchen itself is large and dominated by a wonderful solid wood table with space for 9 people to eat comfortably. However, if you have weather like we did you won't need this as there is an even larger one on the covered veranda overlooking the valley with a view to the alps. Breathtaking. Should the weather be bad (we had one wet cold day) and you are forced to stay indoors, there is a cosy sitting room and the underfloor heating works on demand. The bedrooms are all spacious but you should expect to be living out of your suitcase. In most rooms there were no chests of drawers but only either a wardrobe or hanging rail. The beds themselves are large and comfortable and all linen and towels were provided. Two of the bedrooms were in a separate little apartment only accessible from outside (i.e. not through the house). This would be great if two families were on holiday together but not so good for us. Each of these rooms had its own bathroom but you did have to go through the room with the double bed to get to the room with the two single beds. Also these two rooms felt a little bit damp hence only 4*. The bathrooms were all very nicely equipped and clean. The swimming pool was wonderful and the children spent a long time in the water even though it was still only the end of May. The 3rd step down into the water is deceptively large and the pool at its deepest is easily 2.5m deep which made it quite safe for the children who were always wanting to dive or jump in. Our toddler enjoyed splashing in the shallow end of the pool on the steps. The pool area is fenced off to protect young children. The house is situated on a small road on the side of the hill but only a 5 minute drive from Acqui Terme. The address given by HomeAway wasn't found by google or my SatNav so I would suggest having a good look at the satellite view on the website map before setting off. (However if you want to order a taxi then the address given by HomeAway does seem to work.)

Super Urlaub

We discovered the Piemont 10 years ago and put our love for the Piemont finally into restoring this beautiful old farm house. After 2 years of hard work we now can enjoy our own place in the Piemont. Enjoy the views, the house, the pool and of course all the beautiful things the Piemont has.

The Piemonte offers not only great things for Summer but also for Spring and Autumn. Go wine tasting, visit the beautiful cities and small villages, go to truffel markets or visit Ligurian coast in Spring. On our website you find our favourite restaurants, things to do and info on the markets and antique markets in the region.

Tineke and Roger Gerritzen.

Why they chose this property

The area is our favorite part of Italy, it is pure and still the real Italy. It has great wines, great food, great and friendly people and lovely weather. Four seasons with all of them having typical seasonal dishes that fit the top Piemont wines.

Our house has the best of both worlds, close to restaurants and the beautiful city Acqui Terme but in a quiet spot with beautiful views and deers in the field in the morning.
