    Kitchen:
    Separate, fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with halogen, 4-ring hob, oven, double sink, upright fridge/freezer, dish washer microwave. Access onto terrace with barbecue. Granite worktops and back splash. Really well equipped with a variety of utensils.

    Utility Room:
    The utility room is accessed via the back door of the property. It comprises a sink with hot and cold water, granite work top and washing machine. There are clothes airers, pegs, hoover, iron and ironing board available, plus cool box & beach parasols.

    Living Rooms:
    A partially open plan, lounge & dining area with a comfy 4 seater sofa, various rocking chairs plus a double sofabed. Dining area for up to 10 persons that can be moved on to terrace. French doors lead to the south & west facing terraces. TV, DVD and Sky.

    Other:
    From the lounge/dining area & kitchen there is a large south & west facing terrace. Via a gate,steps from the terrace lead down on to the 125 sq.m. decked area of the swimming pool. A pergola at the far end of the pool area completes this outside space.

    Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
    The property will be fully cleaned prior to your arrival. Check in from 4pm and check out at 10am. All beds will have light weight duvets with fresh bedlinen. Bathroom and beach towels supplied. Saturday 'maid' service incl for guests staying 14 nights+.

    There are 3 downstairs bedrooms. However, there are 5 steps leading up to the front door and up from the pool area. There are 3 steps from the bedroom corridor down into the lounge/dining area and kitchen. There is an internal staircase leading from the lounge to the upstairs master bedroom and en-suite. We have fitted child stair gates at stair access points.

    The 200sq.m property sits in a plot of 800sq.m. The swimming pool is 8 x 4m surrounded by 125sq.m of decking. The astro turf lawn is an ideal play area for children of all ages. At the south end of the house is the pool and decked area with a pergola at its extremity. The north end has a Buddha & Palm Garden with path leading to the utility room. There is a covered car port for 1 car and sloping driveway for 2 cars. Bourgonvillea & jasmine climb the walls & there are 2m+ high cypress trees or screened fencing surrounding the property. We supply numerous reclining sunloungers & high backed, patio chairs, parasols & a gas barbecue. Also we have provided a contemporary outdoor suite including sofa with 2 armchairs and coffee table located in the shade of the poolside pergola. We have 2 Carribean style, thatched parasols located around the pool. At the back of the property there is a protected forest area great for energetic children wanting unlimited space for playing and exploring.

    Important notes on accommodation

    Particularly ideal for families with young children as it is possible to close off the swimming pool and decked area from the terrace and 2 garden areas. Ideal to exclude young children when there is no adult supervision around the pool area. For winter lets we have centrally heated, oil radiators in every room. Also, we have air-conditioning units throughout the villa which are only effective when all windows and doors are closed. With the additional outdoor wooden shutters, stone floors and shaded terraces, the property remains cool and comfortable throughout the high summer temperatures. There is a full length gate closing the property off from the street, plus the villa is secluded from view by 4m conifer trees. There are numerous areas laid out with comfortable seating to enable you to find 'your own space' to relax in smaller groups.

    Changeover day
    The preferred changeover day high season is a Saturday. However, throughout low season we would be flexible so please enquire. We ask that clients check out by 10am allowing us time to prepare the property for new clients to enter from 4pm.

    Booking notes
    A deposit of 20% is required to hold the booking. The final balance is due 12 weeks before arrival day. Credit card payments are accepted in euros. If in the event of you cancelling your bookings, all monies should be claimed via your holiday insurance.


    Credit card details retained for breakage/excessive cleaning deposit. Discounts available for long, Winter durations. Extra heating charges may be applied to winter lets.

    Coast/Beach
    The LŽEstartit Beach is one of the the best in the area. A 6km long, sandy beach that gently shelves into the Mediterranean sea. Alternatively, we are located on the Costa Brava, the 'Wild Coast'. It is a ragged coastline with many coves and small beaches providing a fabulous environment to relax and sunbathe or go 'crabbing' and rock pool fishing.

    Golf
    The 36 Hole Championship Emporda Golf course is only 8 miles away. Two other 18 hole golf courses in Pals and Serres de Pals are only 12 and 20 miles from our villa. 18 hole pitch and putt course of Gualta is 5 miles. Costa Brava Golf Course 35 miles. Mas Nou Golf Course 35 miles. Girona Golf Course 35 miles. Perelada Golf Course 45 miles. Torremirona Golf Course 50 miles. PGA Catalunya Golf Course 50 miles.

    Special Interest Holidays
    An excellent location for cycling and running, scuba diving and snorkeling. Great for ramblers, windsurfers, kite surfers, and kayaking. Please see 'Golf' above, as this is an ideal base for keen golfers.
    We are co-owners of a Mountain Bike and Road Bike Rental Company, therefore, should you wish to hire any bikes in advance of your stay, please contact us for further information. There is an extensive cycle network throughout the area, plus we have a protected forest area behind the villa with popular mountain bike routes.

    How to get there
    Gerona airport is only 45 mins drive or by train. Ryan Air fly into here and on their website it is known as Girona/Barcelona. Otherwise Thomson Fly operate here during the summer months. Easy Jet, as well as many other scheduled airlines, fly into Barcelona airport which is a 1 hour 40 mins drive or by train. Perpignan airport is 1 hour 20 mins drive and Ryan Air are there.     Fantastic Places of interest all close at hand from your LŽEstartit base. Calella de Palafrugell & Llafranc 25 mins drive.

    and with all the conveniences you need for a perfect holiday. This holiday was to celebrate my 60th birthday and we did it in style. The area was lovely and local restaurants were excellent. When things went wrong (the curtain fell down) it was dealt with very quickly and without any fuss. The pool was delightful and the boys (aged 6 and 4) absolutely loved it. The fact that there was a very secure gate to the property meant that we were able to let the boys play without worrying about them. You do need a car for this property."

    About the Owner

    We have lived and worked overseas for twenty years plus. We were married in 2002 in La Bisbal, Gerona, Spain and moved into our brand new villa in October 2003. Our twin boys were born at the hospital in Gerona in 2006 and we have loved living in our beautiful home. Our boys have started at an International School in Majorca where we now live, until the summer school holidays when we return to the wonderful area of Gerona, and our other property in L'Estartit.
    Our families, friends and children have been safe, comfortable and have experienced some wonderful times in our villa. It was our first real 'home' and we planted and created our garden areas, and developed and improved the whole pool area with extensive decking, huge conifer trees and a pergola, complete with sofa.     Why this location?

    We got it right when we viewed and subsequently bought our new build villa in L'Estartit. We could have lived anywhere but chose this resort and villa. The villa is on the perimeter of a residential 'estate' and behind us is a protected wood Estartit has an attractive marina and port area with great restaurants. The beach is so deep, long and flat which is uncommon on the Costa Brava, with a long promenade. Keen scuba divers (before the little ones came along) we have almost doorstep access to the Medas Illes. We also have numerous golf courses close by. We love the mountains and have both worked in France, and the villa is only a 90 minute drive to the ski resorts and an hour to the French boarder! We have the choice of shopping in and flying out of Barcelona, Gerona or Perp

    What are the unique benefits of the property?

    The villa is safe! We are so pleased with how the villa and its gardens and pool area are totally enclosed and screened from the street. We love our big, green metal gate that is the entrance into the 'grounds' of the villa. It slides open to reveal a lush garden with jasmine, bourgenvilla, palm trees and a blaze of colour in the summer months. The driveway and car port allows off street parking for 3 cars, great for loading and unloading children (and luggage). The pool area is gorgeous, screened entirely by 6ft+ conifer tree and faces South! The pergola offers some shade and comfort in the outdoor sofa set we provide. The villa has 4 bedrooms and really works well for 2 families holidaying together wanting equal space and luxury. The 3 bathrooms provide privacy & convenience.
