Sunny 1 bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking tranquil gardens, pool and sea. Beautifully furnished with everything you will need for a self catering holiday. Its ground floor entrance has very few steps yet the apartment is on 1st floor. Few minutes stroll from centre of Nerja - the Balcón de Europa. Shops, bars and restaurants are all around and the beach is a few minutes walk away. The apartment gets the sun all morning and the large pool is open most of the year.

Electric oven, 4 ring glass hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kitchen newly fitted with granite worktop.
Lounge dining room with 3-seater sofa, pouf bed (single bed) TV with ITV and BBC channels plus DVD player, lamps to create relaxing ambiance and sliding glass doors to balcony.
Balcony with table and chairs, sun umbrella. Table and chairs can be brought inside if weater unclement but most people prefer eating on the balcony.
Towels and sheets are provided.bed has duvet. For bookings of 2 weeks plus, weekly cleaning can be arranged for a small extra charge (25 euros) if required.

Not suitable for anyone who cannot manage a few steps, there are about 4 steps up and then 4 steps down to enter the apartment. Once in the apartment it is all 1 level. There are about 12 steps to go down to the garden and pool. A wheelchair lift has been installed at the main entrance but there are still a few stairs after this.
The balcony has a table, 4 chairs and a sun umbrella, a wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch and also that glass of wine as the sun goes down. The sea is beautiful during the day and at night when there is a fullish moon it is sublime. The garden is lit at night and closes at 8pm so it is very peaceful in the evenings. A large shared pool and small child's pool (they are joined) is open most of the year. It is set in a large grassed garden with palm trees and has a balustrade which overlooks the beach and the Balcón de Europa.
Important notes on accommodation
Wifi is available through a mobile device we can provide on arrival. There is a cost of E10 per week for use of this mobile device and a deposit of E100, which will be refunded to you when you return the mobile device. This device can be used during your stay at the apartment but also on the beach, pool etc.

Please contact the owner if you are interested in staying at the apartment for one month or longer.
Saturday preferred but all other days considered. Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am - unless prior arrangements have been made.
25% deposit required to secure the booking with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

About the area
A few minutes walk from the apartment is Torrecilla beach, with sunbeds for hire and several restaurants. Walk further along to the west and you reach El Chucho beach with several merenderos - beach bar/restaurants. Off the Balcón de Europa you can reach either Salon Beach or Calahonda within 5 minutes. A 15 minute walk or a short drive will take you to Burriana beach where there are many cafés, diving and other watersports available.
Baviara golf is a 15 min drive. Beautiful 18-hole course. Buggy hire available. Prices start from 35 euros a round (inc buggy hire). Prices vary depending of time of year. Phone number and website address available for enquiries and advanced booking.
Skiing and snowboarding can be found in the Sierra Nevada, near Granada (approx 1.5 hour's away by car).
How to get there
Malaga airport is a 45 minute drive away. We can arrange a taxi from the airport 65 euros each way. Alternatively we can arrange car hire, and the car can be picked up and dropped of either at the airport or in Nerja. Due to the apartment's great central location a car isn't needed for getting around Nerja, however it may useful if you plan to visit other towns and places of interest.
The city of Granada, with its Moorish architecture, beautiful plazas and the wonderful Alhambra, is little over an hour's drive from Nerja. Seville, Ronda and Malaga are also of great interest and easily do-able as day trips. Just a few miles inland from Nerja you'll find numerous white-washed villages which are a delight to explore. We can provide details of many walks in the mountains if required. Several routes begin at the famous caves at Maro, 5km from Nerja.
In the apartment you will find details on how to get around Nerja, maps with the nearest supermarkets, pharmacies and post office, plus a map with suggestions of bars and restaurants which are worth a try - you would need to be here for months to try them all! There is a small supermarket about two minutes from the apartment and bars, restaurants and cafés right outside your door. There is a cultural centre which has different offerings every week and shops offering Andalucian pottery and other gifts abound.
