This delightful apartment is situated in the beautiful "Pueblo Latino" quarter of Torre de le Horadada, the seaside resort of Pilar de la Horadada. It is spacious & typically spanish, with a generous terrace & a private rooftop solarium with stunning views across the rooftops to the sea. Pueblo Latino won european design awards when it was built in the late 1980s & it's easy to see why, with its stunning, typically spanish white architecture, terracotta rooftiles & terraces & an abundance of bourganvillia; it has a unique ambiance. The superb Plaza,75 yards away has shops, bars, cafes & restaurants, with more dotted all over the village & along the seafront. There is another open Plaza with shops, bars & restaurants just a 10 minute stroll away & several lovely beaches & a picturesque harbour within a few minutes walk. There are several golf courses within a few kms & the suberb resort of La Manga, on the Mar Menor is a 20 minute drive south, with Torrevieja approx 20 minutes north.

There is a spacious terrace, with table and chairs overlooking the garden and pool area. There is also a large private rooftop solarium with sunbeds, plenty of room to have a BBQ and relax, whilst enjoying the view across the village to the sea. The pool is open all year round and only a few metres from your door!

Changeover day is flexible.We request that you should arrive no earlier than 3pm on arrival day, and depart by 11am on departure day although this may be flexible if the apartment is not occupied on changeover day.
A non refundable deposit of £50 per week or part week to secure a booking is required, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to departure, unless a booking is made less than 6 weeks before this date, in which case full payment is required at time of booking. An additional refundable deposit of £100 is charged to cover for any loss, damage, breakages or additional cleaning which may be required. There is a charge of 50 euros for cleaning and laundry after your departure, payable in euros on arrival.

About the area
The closest beach is approx. 300 metres away, with several others within a few minutes stroll. The fabulous Mil Palmeras beach is only one kilometre north, with many other beaches in either direction, waiting to be explored. Torre de la Horadada has its own marina, with bars and cafes opposite, and it is here that you find the lovely Old Tower, for which the resort is named.
There are many excellent golf couses within a few minutes drive, the best known being Villamartin, with the challenging Las Ramblas, and Campoamor, with its superb restaurant and clubhouse closeby. Also the new Lo Romero golf course in Pilar de le Horadada opened recently.There are further courses at La Manga, with several others in the area.
How to get there
Easily reached from both Alicante Airport, approx 50 mins. drive and Murcia airport, only 15 mins. drive. Both airports are well serviced by budget, charter and scheduled airlines.
Torre de la Horadada is approx 10 kilometres south of the lively town of Torrevieja, and about the same distance north of the northern tip of the Mar Menor, with its beautiful beaches and the exciting resort of La Manga.
There are good, local supermarkets, cash machines and an internet cafe within a short walking distance, with the large town of Pilar de la Horadada, with all its amenities approx 2 kilometres away.

I live in England and work for a charity. I love to get away to my "place in the sun" when I can, it is so relaxing.

Why this location?
I chose this apartment because I love the area so much, Pueblo Latino is the best area around this bit of coast line. The architecture is very pretty, all white with terracotta tiles and lots of bouganvilla, very Spanish. It is quiet out of season but comes alive in July and August as it is the place where many Spanish people come for their holidays. Although there are also people from many countries who like to stay here, it is predominantly a Spanish area, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to it.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
There is a very good supermarket only 8 minutes walk away and a small one in the Plaza opposite, where there is also a bakery. There are lots of bars and restaurants dotted around the village and in neighbouring Mil Palmeras, 15 mins walk along the coast. You could eat somewhere different every night for a fortnight and still miss out on quite a few! There are also several ice cream parlours either in the Plaza or by the harbour. With only a 5 minute walk to the beach and a pool on your doorstep which, out of high season you can often have to yourself, you can relax here without the need for a hire car....especially as Murcia Airport is so close!
