We have had a fantastic week. The apartment was everything we could have wanted, so thank you. (Katy, January 2011)
Many thanks for letting us stay in your place. We had a great time and enjoyed LGT. The appartment was great (Rosi, March 2010)
Really lovely apartment with lots of home comforts, the DVD collection was much appreciated! Great location for the slopes and the kids loved the ski school. Our friends rented another apartment in the same block which was much less well-equipped so we felt very smug! (Dave & Ros Feb 2012)
About the Owner
We live in Cheshire with our 2 teenage children and Ed, the Jack Russell.
Year property purchased: 2004
Why this location?
We bought the apartment as we wanted somewhere within easy reach of an airport and with 'year round' interest. La Grande Terche fits the bill, as it is small enough to have a friendly village atmosphere but its proximity to larger centres like Morzine and Les Gets means there is always something to do. We recommend watching an ice hockey match at Morzine for a great evening's entertainment. The skiing really offers the best of both worlds - locally the 'circuit de Roc d'Enfer' has to be skied to be believed, and the Portes du Soleil area has some great runs for all levels of skiier. If you have the energy there's plenty of apres ski and local restaurants in the village or down in St. Jean - our children love a game or two of pool and a pizza from Le National.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
We have spent many happy weeks there, summer and winter. In winter we love to ski in the village, or nearby Avoriaz/Morzine and Les Gets - and are still exploring the wider Portes du Soleil area. In the summer there is too much to do! Walking in the glorious countryside and exploring local villages, mountain biking or just chilling by the pool in Morzine.
