The modern spacious apartment is tastefully decorated with all facilities. Private intercom access. The apartment is bug free mosquito screens on all the windows. There are 3 large ceiling fans, radiator & a fan heater. The apartment is near to all amenities, the bus stop & internet cafe. The large unspoilt sandy 10km EEC Blue Flag beach can be seen from the apartment is 10 mins away. The Moorish village of Mojacar with its white washed houses perched on the hillside is enchanting, romantic with quaint cobbled streets & is steeped in history. Ideal for a Winter or Summer break the temperature in January being 27o-19oC. Mojacar has 3000 hours of sunshine per year compaired to 3000 hours of rain in the UK! Flights to Almeria from all airports.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom with Double Bed, fresh cotton linen, dressing table, bedside tables with reading lamps. A Dressing Room attached with fitted wardrobes and mirror. Very quiet and peaceful. Large ceiling fan & a free standing fan. Mosquito/fly screen at the window.

Bathrooms:
Modern bathroom with floor to ceiling tiles. The bathroom has a bath and a shower over it, bidet and a wc. Radiator. Cotton Towels, bath mat and Hairdryer are provided. Mirror over the sink and small shelves.

Kitchen:
The kitchen has all modern amenities. Kitchenette, fridge with a freezer box, cooker hob, microwave/grill. All crockery, cutlery, and utensils. Small cool bag, ice packs & plastic cutlery for the beach. Mosquito/fly screen at the window

Utility Room:
Iron, Ironing board and clothes horse are provided.

Living Rooms:
The spacious lounge is tastefully decorated with a large 3 seater sofa, a leather 2 seater sofa, an antique chair & coffee table. Amazing unrivaled views of the beach, sea & mountains. 2 Large Ceiling Fans. Audio tape player/cd/ radio. Mosquito/fly screen

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
Cotton linen and towels are provided. The apartment is cleaned on a weekly basis. We have a British manager who lives near to the apartment in case of any extra items that you may require.

The apartment is ideal for those looking for a very quiet, peaceful, tranquil holiday. Suitable for painting, writing, reading and relaxing. Very romantic. The apartment is no smoking. The 24 metre terrace is very private with amazing unrivaled views of the sea, beach and mountains. The terrace is great for sunbathing we get the sun all day long & is ideal for a Winter or Summer break the temperature this January has been been between 27o-19oC. The apartment is available Christmas & New Year. The apartment is not suitable for children.

About the area

Coast/Beach
Mojacar has a white sandy 10 kms long deserted EEC Blue Flag beach and you can see the beach and sea from the apartment. You can always find a quiet beach to yourself in Mojacar even in August. The beach and sea in Mojacar are very clean. The beach is approx 5 mins away by car, an approx 20 mins walk or you can catch the bus at the end of the street which runs all day & night until 2am. This coast has the most unspoilt beach's in Europe and are of great beauty & ecological wealth.

Golf
There are four golf courses nearby to accommodate all standards including the famous desert sands 72 par golf course the only desert course in Europe.

Skiing
Only two hours from Sierra Nevada where skiing and the international cross-country ski event take place each year.

International Airports: Almeria at 100 kilometres approx 45 mins away NEW FOR 2014 Flights from Gatwick Easyjet & FlyThomas Cook, Stansted Ryanair, East Mids Ryanair, B'ham Monarch, FlyThomas Cook & Thomson, Manchester Monarch, FlyThomas Cook & Thomson, Dublin Ryanair. Murcia is approx 1.5 hours away and Alicante is approx 2 hours away. Nearest railway station Vera 15 mins away. Car:not necessary. There is public transport from all airports or transfers can be arranged from Almeria airport.

Distances
The apartment is situated in the centre of the unspoilt village of Mojacar near to all amenities. The bus stop & internet cafe bar are at the end of the street. The village has some fabulous international restaurants, traditional bars, 3 small supermarkets & a cash point. The beach is an approx 20 min walk or you can catch the bus. The fishing village of Garrucha is nearby. The village has an indoor pool, gym & fitness classes. There is free parking all around the village & 2 public car parks.

Further Details
Mojacar village & the breathtaking surrounding scenic areas are an ideal place to spend your days writing, painting, reading or walking nearby in the mountains.
The beach is one of the few places now in Europe where you can eat & drink right on the beach while listening & watching the ocean in one of the Chirinigutos.
The beach has a lot more restaurants, bars, internet cafes, banks, a commercial centre and 4 very large supermarkets.
There is an Iceland & Lidl supermarket in Vera 10 mins away.
If you are a fish lover the fishing village of Garrucha is nearby where fresh fish is brought straight from the boat to your table.
This coast has the most unspoilt beaches in Europe and are of great beauty & ecological wealth including Cabo de Gata Natural Park where you can see Pink Flamingoes in there wild natural habitat. You can always find a beach to yourself in Mojacar even in August.
Mojacar has one of the sunniest climates in Spain with 3,000 hours of sunshine a year compared with 3,000 hours of rain in the UK. With all the reasonable flights from the UK and easy access to the village it is ideal for a weekend break in Winter or Summer.
Mojacar & the villages near by have lots of tradional fiestas which are always really good fun.
Mojacar is near to Granada with the famous palace of Alhambra.
Mojacar is only 45 minutes from Mini Hollywood where all the famous spaghetti westerns were made.
Mojacar is only two hours from Sierra Nevada where skiing & the international cross-country ski event take place each year.
There are four golf courses nearby to accommodate all standards including the desert sands 72 par golf course the only desert course in Europe.
There are some amazing roads around if you enjoy cycling or motorcyling and the roads around Mojacar are used to test drive lots of new models of cars and bikes because of the fabulous hot dry terraine.

"Lovely relaxed break!"

I have stayed in this apartment every year since 2007 and I keep coming back! The restaurants and bars in the pueblo are fantastic,minutes away from the apartment. I discovered Bar Irene this time-great tapas!The apartment itself is perfect-huge sunny patio with great views and very peaceful. And not having a television is a real bonus-more time to read! I would also like to put in a good word for Lesley the manager-she was extremely helpful.We are definitely going to book again next year.

"Thank you"

Thank you for renting us your fantastic apartment in Mojacar. The apartment was in a perfect location with amazing views, you have the best view point in the whole of the village you can see the coast for miles. The apartment was private, very peaceful, a great place to chill and you can sunbathe all day long. We found the apartment very convenient and every thing was within walking distance with the internet cafe and bus stop only at the end of the street. The village was very cosmopolitan and we ate out most nights at Jamon, Jamon, El Antler, Napoli and Jackie's Bar. The beach was so clean and very unspoilt and the little Chiringuito's bars were so quaint. We found that the Mojacar Nightlife has everything you could wish for from small quiet traditional Spanish bars to Nightclubs and Sophisticated Restaurants on the beach filled with affluent trendy Madridians. We will defiantly be recommending the apartment & Mojacar to our friends and family what a great find and we will be back thank you once again.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing and romantic getaway

"Glorious mountains"

We had a great time in Mojacar and the mountains stretching out behind and above the village. We walked and walked and never tired of being up there. We saw deer and birds and had the most amazing views all around. Favourite access to the mountains was carrying on up Calle(?) Fuensanta past the water depot (it's the track that leads up to the communication masts that you can see from your flat) and taking the 'no access' (chain across the road to prohibit cars entering) track to the right and just follow that from track to path way up to magical ruins (incl. El Jali, which can also be accessed by a path from Turre) and fabulous views. The weather was fantastic and the village was charming and friendly. We really liked Cafe Irene for beer and tapas after good long mountain walks - waiter Ricardo was charming, as was the setting of the square below the church! Good trips down the coast as well, lovely beach south of Carboneras with interesting caves. Actually, we found caves everywhere, spectacular mountain formations (and some precariously balanced buildings, such as several in Sorbas hanging on a crumbling cliff, it seemed) The flat is lovely, has everything you need, including - as commented on by many previous visitors - a veranda that is hard to match! We spent many good hours there, soaking up the sun at breakfast, evenings listening to the cicadas over a glass of wine..... The information folder was very useful and the Routard had lots of interesting history and place specific information - all very good.

Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children and romantic getaway

"MOST RELAXING HOLIDAY EVER!"

We had our most relaxing holiday EVER - spent simply hours and hours on the sun drenched terrace, reading, listening to music, chatting and of course admiring the wonderful views all around! We absolutely loved it and hope very definitely to go back again - and again... The weather was great -we were able to eat every meal outdoors; clear blue skies every day and though often a breeze, it kept it comfortable. We particularly loved Mojacar Pueblo as it's so pretty, also thought the Playa area beautifully clean and well cared for with some goods shops and eating places - so easy to walk to and catch the bus back up the hill! The location of the apartment is perfect and we've both come back feeling really refreshed and relaxed - so a huge thank you for letting us share your special piece of paradise for a few days
