Great holiday, Fantasic Villa +++++

I would highly recommend this villa. We stayed there in July 2016. We are a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 Children aged 5 and 3 and we all had a fantastic time. This was the second time we have stayed here as a family and wouldn't hesitate in booking again. The front of the villa has a large balcony with fantastic views and also a terrace on the lower floor. The balcony was great for us as there was a child safety gate at the top of the stairs which gave us huge peace of mind. The rear of the villa also had various gates leading to the pool which was ideal having two young children of which 1 was still learning to swim. There is also lots of space for sun worshipping and dining outside. The pool is a nice size and we couldn't keep the kids out they loved it so much. Having the pool at their disposal for a week left them fairly confident swimmers by the time we left. The inside of the villa has everything you would need and we cooked our own meals occasionally. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. You can tell that this villa is looked after and regularly updated. There are local amenities close by. A few supermarkets less than a 5 minute walk away and you can get to most areas of the resort in less than a 10 minute walk. The villa itself is in a great location where it’s close enough to access everything without hiking miles but it’s away enough to avoid noise. But Cala en Porter is not that kind of resort, it’s a family friendly resort that is good for eating out, a few drinks and light entertainment. There a lots of restaurants to choose from and many cuisine options. Equally there are plenty of bars, some are tucked away so ask someone local for recommendations. I would recommend Bar 007, they have some great live music. There is a beautiful coved beach not far from the villa via some steps. These aren't for the faint hearted and I would recommend walking into town and down the road access. It might take 10 mins longer but there are some cafes to stop and quench your thirst in en route. The booking, arrival and handover was made very easy by the villa owners, they are very nice and helpful. We had a late flight on the day of leaving and it wasn't a problem leaving the cases at the villa for the day and collecting a taxi at the villa that evening allowing us to enjoy the last day. We have had a great time on both occasions and would definitely go back again. I can't recommend enough. +++++

A great family holiday villa

This property was ideal for our 3 generation family party of 5 adults and 5 children. The villa was modern, clean and well- maintained and the outside area with the pool and barbecue was much appreciated by our group. The children (8-14 years) loved the pool. The nearby beach was easy to access via good steps and it had no jelly fish, which some other beaches had at the time we stayed. Not far to travel to the airport, but not affected by aircraft noise. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance, but not impacting on the relaxed atmosphere of the villa. We walked to Calas Coves from here and saw the wild tortoises. We would be very happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.

Outstanding value villa

My family and I booked this villa as it gave us the type of accommodation we were looking for with our own space. My wife and I stayed in the downstairs section and our Daughter and young family stayed in the top part of the villa. Downstairs was well equipped for self catering with a modern kitchen including an upright fridge/freezer and a gas cooker, and two new sofas in the lounge area. The bathroom looked as if it was newly installed to a very high standard with a larger than normal shower area. Upstairs our family were greeted with the same high standard, also with a well equipped modern kitchen and living area, modern bathroom suite with a shower over a bath. Having the bath was a bonus with young children for our daughter. The three bedrooms were all of a good size and the air conditioning with a real asset. Overall we found the villa very clean and tidy when we arrived. The dishwasher and washing machine were straight forward to use and came in handy with the children. There was a safety gate installed on the top balcony for the children as well as a gate at the rear, for the pool area. Plenty of sunbeds were provided, surrounding a well kept pool and bbq area, and a lovely covered eating area, with a table and chairs. There are so many restaurants and bars to choose from all within only a couple of minutes walk. Supermarkets were very close too. The bus stop is over road as were the beach steps. The bus runs every hour in the morning to Mahon, with its beautiful harbour, restaurants and shops with its own market every Tuesday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and found the owners. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone.
