Villa de Beaussaret is one of the finest houses in Draguignan - built around 1860 for a wealthy family and designed in the style of a Florentine villa with 500 sq.metres of living space. The house is within five minutes drive of the town of Draguignan and within a short drive of some of the most beautiful villages of Provence (Salernes, Aups, Lorgues, Villecroze and Tourtour - just to name a few). St.Maxime on the coast is only 30 minutes drive, together with Port Grimaud and St.Tropez being less than 1 hour's drive. This area of Provence is very famous for wonderful food, and superb wine which you can sample at many of the local vineyards.

There are local markets every day in the surrounding villages. There is also a well known market just over the border into Italy (Ventimiglia)- go by train or drive approx 1 hr. 20 mins.

The Gorge du Verdon and Lac St.Croix are well worth a visit with the most magnificent scenery.

The village of Tourtour is stunning (known locally as "the village in the sky").

Nice, Aix en Provence are both 1 hr from the house.

Further Details:

There are tennis courts available in Villecroze - (20 minutes drive) and also horse riding on the outskirts of the village. There are many local restaurants serving wonderful food and wine at sensible prices. Lovely woodland walks along an old disused railway line in Flyosc 8 km from Draguignan

When a booking is confirmed a non-refundable deposit will be required of 25%, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A refundable security/damage deposit is required of 300 Euros and this should be paid with the final balance.

    Changeover Day:
    Saturday changeover day. Guests to arrive after 4pm and before 9pm. Departure 9.30am to 10am. at the latest in order to facilitate a comprehensive clean of the property.

  • Notes on accommodation: The property is ideal for families with children. There are childrens swings together with a secret Wendy House in the garden. Pets are not allowed. There is air conditioning in two bedrooms and fans in the other bedrooms. Outside: The house is surrounded by formal gardens, lawns, rose beds, olive grove and fruit trees. There is a south facing pergola area with direct access from the kitchen with table and chairs. The private swimming pool is 10.5 x 5 metres with steps into the shallow end and with security fence. The pool is solely for the use of guests with extensive pool furniture. The house has a wonderful spacious roof terrace with appropriate furniture. It is ideal for pre dinner drinks as it situated to catch the setting sun and is not over looked....or for catching the evening rays when they have left the garden. Utility Room: Large basement with utility room with double sink unit, Washing Machine. Tumble Dryer. Iron/Ironing Board, drying racks etc. ample clothes line in Gardens behind sheds. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen and towels provided (including pool towels). For stays of two weeks or more, weekly cleaning is provided together with fresh bed linen and towels. Other: There is a second living room off the main living room with comfortable couches.
