Tasteful apartments to rent in a restored 18th century listed townhouse/carmen. Located as close as possible to the city centre whilst still being in the Albayzin, the charming old Moorish quarter of Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Within 5 mins walk of Plaza Nueva as well as the cathedral where shuttle buses depart every few minutes up to the Alhambra. The central yet peaceful location means you are also a short walk from numerous shops bars and restaurants. Some apartments have spectacular views south of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada mountains and most have private terraces so you can dine outdoors or relax in the sun. The renovation has aimed to fuse 18th century charm with 21st century comfort and style providing you with air-con/heating, WiFi internet access, DVD players, limitless hot water etc. Some apartments even an Arabic bath in the master bedroom to soak in after a hard day sightseeing or skiing, something few apartments in Granada offer. Parking arranged 40 euros per week or 15 euros per day in or private garage.
This apartment has lovely views south of the Alhambra & Sierra Nevada mountains. Its has private roof top terrace with furniture for dinning or relaxing in the sun and admiring the views.
There are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king size double bed, small balcony and Arabic bath. The second bedroom has twin beds. Cot with comfortable mattress available on request.
The terrace is accessed via a spiral staircase from the living room. The living room has views south of Alhambra and the mountains, a balcony, a comfortable sofa, armchair, WiFi internet access, TV & DVD player. Modern bathroom with powerful walk-in shower and limitless hot water. Polished cement kitchen with hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Table with 4 chairs. Salt, pepper, olive oil and a welcoming supply of tea, coffee and milk are provided.
There is heating and air-conditioning throughout.
Bed linen and towels are provided and will be changed weekly.

Please be aware that the Albayzin is a maze of narrow cobbled streets and steps built on the side of a hill. The apartment is in the lowest part of the Albayzin closest to the true centre of town which is Plaza Nueva. But it is still a five minute walk uphill from the centre which some people may find difficult.
Apartment 2A has a private roof top terrace accessed by spiral staircase from living room. Outdoor table and reclining chairs provided for dining or sunbathing.

- walks through the woods surrounding the Alhambra, once the hunting estates of the Moorish sultans with wonderful views over the city and to the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

How to get there
The apartment is accessible by car without needing an access pass. The owners can recommend a city centre car park that costs 40 euros per week, we also have a private parking space near the apartment 15 euros per day.
Granada airport 20 mins drive, 27 euros in a taxi or 30 euros if you are picked up by our driver. Malaga airport 1 hour 15 min drive, buses from Malaga to Granada leave every hour.
The centrality of the apartments mean they are less than 5 minutes walk from numerous tapas bars and restaurants, the best of which the owners recommend in an up-to-date restaurant guide which is provided for the guests.
Granada´s main food market is also close by where clients will be able to find fresh local produce.

"Comfortable and very central"
Very comfortable apartment. Good airconditioning which was needed in August and comfortable beds. Coffee on the terrace in the mornings looking at the mountains was a particular treat. The apartments are in the Albaicin which is the beautiful old quarter of Granada however this also meant it was quite tricky driving to the apartment and it was a relief that we had booked the apartment´s parking space. Jamie the housekeeper was very helpful. We hope to come back one day

"Perfect location, lovely apartment"
My wife and I stayed here with another couple and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment is in the Albaicin which is a charming old neighbourhood with narrow cobbled streets, yet we were also very close to the city centre with all its wonderful tapas bars! The apartment itself was very well appointed, clean and has lovely views especially from the terrace. Jamie the housekeeper who lives in the same building was very helpful answering all our questions and ordered us a taxi the day we left. Highly recommended.
Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children and romantic getaway
We just wanted to say that we had an awesome time in Granada! The apartment is lovely and well maintained. The location is ideal and, having stayed there, we have a greater appreciation for the Albaycin. Jamie was especially kind and helpful. He is knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating.
