Detached finca on one level with large pool (13m x 5m), garden, boules pitch, outdoor table tennis & BBQ area all set in three acres of almond grove. The main part of the house has a very generous open plan living room. One double bedroom has ensuite bathroom and small 2nd kitchen, ideal as granny or nanny accommodation, if desired! Within a short walk of Montejaque, one of the prettiest 'pueblo blanco' villages of typical white-washed Andalucian houses. The village is well served for restaurants & bars as well as shops, banks, etc. There is one road leading up to the main square and a labyrinth of narrow winding alleyways to explore beyond. Just arrive and unwind...

Info for clients with limited mobility & wheelchair users: The villa is basically on one level but has one step internally & on the rear terrace. There is also a step inside the front door but we had a ramp constructed for a previous client, which can be provided on request. The pool is on a lower level but can be accessed from the front of the property via the side terrace, which is linked by ramp to the pool area. We would be happy to discuss any individual requirements.
Pool 5m x 12m and surrounding terrace with sunbeds, tables and chairs. Several other terraces around property with seating etc, including large dining table and chairs for up to approx 10 people. Large sheltered BBQ area with lighting in the trees. Terrace with table tennis table. Boules pitch. Also lighting in and around lawn and pool.
Important notes on accommodation
Ceiling fans in all bedrooms but bedroom 3. Large wood burning fire in living room, & electric wall heaters throughout property for cooler winter evenings.
Extras provided include: Two music systems, main TV with some satellite channels, small TV / video, two hairdryers. Plus outdoor table tennis, croquet set, boules set, selection of games, books & guide books for guests' use.

Deposit of 30% required on booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.

About the area
Costa del Sol beaches approx 1 1/4hrs by car: Busy but wide choice of good sandy beaches.
Costa de la Luz approx 1 1/2hrs by car: On the Atlantic coast...Quiet, but windy - great for surfers, & really unspoilt.
Plentiful choice of golf courses in Marbella area (1 1/4hrs by car). Also a course at Antequerra (approx 90km).
Special Interest Holidays
The property is in the protected Grazelema National Park, with many opportunities for walks, climbing, pot-holing, etc.
Cycle hire, horse riding, hot air balloon trips & more can be found nearby. (Details at the villa).
How to get there
Three airports within easy reach: Malaga (1 1/4hrs), Seville (1 1/4hrs), Jerez (1hr). Also Gibraltar, but journey time a little longer. Car hire essential.
Plenty of historic villages, towns and cities within easy reach by car: Seville, Cadiz, Jerez and Malaga all under 1 1/2hrs away. Ronda only fifteen minutes.
On the edge of the village of Montejaque. which seems quiet but can cater for all basic needs: A few local restaurants and bars - approx twelve. Small grocery shops, bakery, pharmacy, two banks (with ATMs), ironmongers(!), hairdressers. On Thursday mornings there is a small market which is good for fruit & veg. Also a new visitors' centre in the square.
Ronda (15 mins away) has supermarkets, tourist shops, tons of restaurants (even Michelin starred) etc. On Sundays there is a decent sized market.
There is a large folder with a wealth of further information at the villa.

"Everything and More"
Las Palomas was everything and more. The property was clean & well maintained and had everything we needed. A relaxing and peaceful atmosphere meets you as you put the key in the door in a private country setting. We really enjoyed going on wonderful day trips to the region’s attractions, restaurants and local markets and then being able to come back and relax by the pool. We would highly recommend it and we will definitely consider going back there for a longer stay.

We were a group of 7, including 3 teenage girls The house was a perfect size to handle us all. It has a wonderful open kitchen/ living space with spectacular views of the hills. The outdoor rear lawn is great for badminton, frizbee and the table tennis got well used too! The pool and deck are secluded and perfect to cool off in. The bedrooms are comfortable, the house well-stocked for eating in, reading, and relaxing. Montejaque is an interesting village with plenty of tapas bars and little restaurants. There is also good local hiking and some interesting sites nearby. Our first visit was at Easter and the spring wild flowers in this area are quite stunning. It is well situated for visiting other famous cities, all within 2 hours drive. The owner was extremely helpful with accessibilty requrements. I would definitely recommend the house to others!

"What a Find"
Wow, I'd heard about the area from Jamie Oliver's trip to Spain and thought I'd head out to discover for ourselves. The Villa is easy to find and well placed to discover Ronda & Andalucia, steeped with so much history & great walks, we honestly thought the kids would get bored but they didn't, they loved it so much so we have to come back. The villa is well equipped, again with plenty of games etc to keep the kids happy, and the pool a welcome place to relax and watch to swifts on an evening. Close by there are a number of hotels & bars with restaurants attached serving great food & wine. Go & enjoy.
Recommended for: Pet friendly, girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children and romantic getaway
