Casa Aguila is situated in a tranquil elevated position on the exclusive Las Coloradas development between the beautiful Papagayo Beaches (15 mins walk or 5 mins by car) and the prestigious Rubicon Marina. The open plan design makes it particularly spacious and light, complemented by the luxurious contemporary style furnishings. The owners have taken every care in preparing the villa to ensure your maximum comfort, including British TV, DVD/library, CD player/100+ collection and plenty of current books. The terrace enjoys the sun all day and evening and has views of the mountains and over Papagayo National Park, perfect for al-fresco dining by the side of the 6m x 3m pool. Playa Blanca is on the sheltered south west coast and is host to many top quality cafes and restaurants where you can sit back and sample either the local or international menu on offer. Take a stroll along the paved coastal path to the marina and see some of the most spectacular yachts in the Canary Islands.
Master bedroom has a high quality king size bed, fitted wardrobes/drawer space, with a security safe inside the wardrobe, enjoys views over the pool and has an en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has quality twin beds, large fitted wardrobes.
En-suite bathroom has twin wash basins set in marble surround, shower, bath, wc, bidet, huge mirror, hair dryer and excellent lighting. The Family bathroom also has a marble surround wash basin, shower, wc, bidet and large well lit mirror.
The luxuriously appointed kitchen is thoroughly well equipped and has black granite work surfaces and breakfast bar, dishwasher, microwave, oven, ceramic hob, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, wine cooler, BBQ equipment (and recipes) a large fridge/freezer
Zanussi washing machine, clothes airer, ironing board and iron.
The elegant dining area overlooks the sun terrace and has a large circular dining suite and CD player/collection. The lounge is stylishly furnished with cream leather sofas, British TV, Flat Screen TV, DVD. Patio doors lead to the terrace and pool.
A double garage allows for cool secure parking.
Clean linen is provided weekly including bathroom towels and, unusually, all pool towels. The villa and pool are cleaned weekly.

Please note that the villa, pool and terrace are all on the same level but are elevated from the road. Access to the villa is through a lockable entrance gate with steps up to the villa. This adds to the security of the villa but unfortunately means it is not suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside the teak garden dining furniture with comfortable chair cushions are located next to the swimming pool on the private terrace. Electric pool heating is available ensuring a warm pool even in the winter months. Four sun loungers with quality mattresses invite you to relax either in the sunshine or sheltered under the terrace area with natural shade provided by the beautiful bougainvillea. Casa Aguila's pool, landscaped gardens and large built-in BBQ has concealed lighting at night making it ideal for relaxed balmy evenings.
Important notes on accommodation
All beds have high quality sprung mattresses and fans are provided for your comfort along with a video /DVD library for your entertainment. Heating is also provided for those rare chilly winter evenings.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the villa per week in UK Pounds for two people. Please add £50 per week (or part thereof) for each additional person up to a maximum of 4 people. Please note there is a minimum stay over the Christmas / New Year period of 2 weeks.
Thursday and Sunday changeover days are preferred but can be flexible.
Please contact the owners for more information and bookings. A non-refundable deposit of £150.00 is required to secure a reservation & the full balance is due 8 weeks before departure plus a refundable damage deposit of £100.00. Electric pool heating is available at £50 per week. Please note that the owners are unable to accept credit or card payments. Bank transfer, cheques or cash only please.

About the area
The gorgeous beaches of Papagayo are just 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive away. There are long golden stretches of sand and many secluded coves plus Dorada Beach with watersports, cafes and bars towards Playa Blanca. Swimming is safe, but you should always follow the Life guards instructions. There is a wide picturesque block paved coastal walkway from Las Coloradas to Playa Blanca and beyond which stretches over 10 kilometres. Ideal for both pedestrians and cyclists.
A decent golf course is located outside Arrecife approximately 40 minutes drive away and a brand new course at Tias (20 minutes drive) has recently been completed. Other activities available in Play Blanca include cycle hire, yacht hire, diving schools, tennis courts, ten pin bowling, sailing school and boat trips and fishing trips.
How to get there
Car hire is recommended and all the major International car hire Companies operate in Lanzarote, or we can provide contact details for a local operator. Cars can be hired locally or at the airport. The roads are of a good standard and petrol is cheap. Taxis are readily available and reasonably priced. Lanzarote`s airport is located on the outskirts of Arrecife and is 30 minutes drive from Playa Blanca. Julie and Alex who manage the villa can also arrange transport to and from the airport.
The 400 berth Rubicon Marina with designers shops and restaurants is a 20 minute stroll away. Playa Blanca is 5 minutes drive. Just a 20 minute drive north is the stunning village of El Golfo with its fresh fish restaurants which are among the best in Lanzarote. The airport is 30 minutes drive away.
Playa Blanca was originally a small fishing village and still contains a busy little port with regular ferries to the nearby Island of Fuertaventura. An ideal day trip, the ferry crossing takes 20 - 40 minutes. There are some excellent restaurants in Playa Blanca town, the nearby Rubicon Marina, Puerto Calero, Arrecife and Teguise - details are in the guest information folder in the villa.
There are two supermarkets with walking distance of the villa - both will fulfill all your needs whilst staying at Casa Aguila.

Our third visit - totally relaxing in the most beautiful villa with everything available - Sky TV, WiFi, Pool, . Everything you could possibly need re kitchen and equipment. We love the new outside dining table and especially the new sun loungers - the best we've seen! Every restaurant we visited was excellent. This is a superlative villa, excellently equipped - we shall return for a fourth time!
