About this property

This luxury apartment is located in the beautiful urbanization of ‘Cármenes del Mar, nestled in the mountains of La Herradura, just approximately 1 km from the town centre and 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes from the beach by car.
This spacious apartment consists of two light airy bedrooms with external light.
The master bedroom with luxury ensuite bathroom with his and her washbasins, Bidet, bath, and shower.
The second bedroom with two single beds; there is also a second bathroom, with shower, washbasin and a toilet.
There is a large kitchen fully equipped with a dishwasher and small appliances.
There is also a laundry room with a washing machine. This property has a private parking.
The spacious living and dining area leads to a magnificent sun terrace with many exotic plants and flowers and boasting excellent views of the sea.
We have English and also Spanish free view TV channels, such as PARAMOUNT movie channel, DMAX, Disney kids channel and more.
The amenities are approximately 1 km away, there are several small supermarkets, pharmacies, bars, and restaurants near the beach.

La Herradura Markets

The Municipal Market La Herradura
Monday- Saturday 09:00 – 14:00, located along the beach, just as you enter the town. Flowers are available Tuesdays and Saturdays. You will find just about everything you need from fresh produce to meats and cheese. Sometimes there are clothes out on display near the front entrance.
La Herradura Friday Market
Each Friday there is also a market in Plaza de la Independencia de La Herradura.
La Herradura Rastro Sunday Market or Mercadillo
On Sunday there is also a flea market (second-hand goods, crafts & more) in de La Herradura. This is an outdoor market located in the Plaza de la Independencia La Herradura at the center of town, every Sunday 9:00 – 2:00 (summer).

La Herradura Luz de Luna Night Market
Be prepared for a magical experience at the Fiestas Virgen del Carmen Night Market. Luz de Luna La Herradura will present you with hundreds of candles dancing in the night, lining the picturesque stone pedestrian streets in the old town. It is also, time to do some shopping, with artisan booths selling crafts and wares. It is an annual market celebrated as part of the Fiestas Virgen del Carmen event

Also, 1 km from the beach is Cerro Gordo, a natural park for hiking and exploring; where you can still see mountain goats and squirrels in the wild.
The Terrazas Cármenes del Mar Urbanization has two swimming pools open all year round. There is also a special TV and meeting room with a free Wi-Fi connection.
La Herradura is named after the shape of its beach. It measures about 2 km and due to this shape, the sea is serene and clean. It is especially known for the riches of the seabed.
If you are a fan of sports, on the beach you can enjoy one of the best diving facilities in the Mediterranean, as well as paragliding, and all kinds of water sports while enjoying a quiet coast with beautiful bays. There are several diving schools as well as sailing and windsurfing. You can also visit the charming small port of Marina del Este.
Just an hour away from the Moorish delights of La Alhambra in Granada and 45 minutes from the sophisticated stores and boutiques of Malaga
In and around the area of Costa Tropical, you can enjoy unique landscapes with crystal clear rivers and waterfalls. Towards Granada, in the Alpujjara or foothills of Sierra Nevada, you can enjoy hiking, skiing and snow sports.
You should visit and walk the beautiful streets of Almuñécar old town with its charming narrow streets and shops and boutiques,
La Herradura and Almunecar also have a wide range of tapas bars and Chiringuitos, where you can taste the delights of barbequed fish and meat plus drinks on the beach and enjoy live music or flamenco dancing.

Lovely House

We absolutely loves the House, the location and the view. Stunning. It could be a little bit cleaner at arrivel, but i would rent it again at any time.

Great house with fantastic views in a good location near the panoramic pool

House is in great location and is in very good condition and clean with everything needed for comfortable stay balconies and terrace are bathed in sunshine in afternoon .

Location, location, location!

Well, Michael and Estelle, I've been back in the real world for a week now and I don't like it at all - oh to be still in Almunecar. I got to know the town and surrounding area well and your house on the top line at Fuentes is just about perfection - location, location, location! You are near enough to the town's attractions and its beaces but also far enough away to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. And I for one would never grow tired of the spectacular 360 degree views to be enjoyed from the balconies and sun terrace you have. My grandkids loved their week there, especially the pool a short hop from the front door, and what was so reassuring was how safe the whole place was for them. All being well I will be back, the same time next year will be the plan.Thanks. Best wishes Will

La casa tiene todo tipo de comodidades para una familia. Muy bonita y acogedora! Aunque esté retirada de la playa, es una urbanización tranquila para descansar y desconectar. No obstante, a pocos minutos se llega a playas maravillosas. Recomendable!

Our stay in Fuentes, Almunecar - August 2014

A beautiful, hill top setting with fantastic views. The house was well maintained and spacious for the 4 of us and in the heat of the Summer the A.C was welcome! Our teenage girls loved the pools and the freedom to come and go. We visited many close beaches and particularly enjoyed snorkelling. It's possible to walk but as it's very steep the walk not recommended in the middle of August! So a car is advised. Almunecar is an interesting town which we had fun exploring as are the surrounding mountains and coast line. Very relaxing and thoroughly recommended!

We always loved southern Spain and all of Andalusia. We are so pleased that we can go there and enjoy the tranquillities of the area and the wonderful weather when we can.

This community is very peaceful and safe for families with young children or the elderly. there are approximately 320 days per year the sun is shining. The swimming pool is open all year and the gardens are beautiful.
