Beautiful view of the lake

Such a beautiful villa and wonderful view of the lake and we were so happy to be returning for a second time! Francesco was always incredibly helpful, friendly and was happy to assist with all our questions. The house was always extremely clean thanks to Chika’s hard work. The villa is a short walk from Argengo where there are yummy restaurants, amazing gelato and the ferry port. Otherwise there is Francesco’s boat in the boat house that you can hire which is a fabulous way to get around! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

We would return in a heartbeat

Just looking at the photo of this house makes me feel wistful! We stayed for 10 days and wished it were for longer. The house itself is generous, well laid out and has everything you need. Cleaning is included and regular by the lovely Chica. The gardens are lovely and the view is one we found hard to beat in all the beautiful places we visited on the lake. It is a very special place. We hired the boat while we were there and it really made it extra wonderful - great to just nip to the boathouse and be able to explore this gorgeous part of the world. I think we just hit the very end of the (possibly already ended) summer season and it did not diminish our pleasure. The lake was quiet and we swam in many different spots. Even with slightly mixed weather, the layout of the house and the terrace meant that you could enjoy it in all its seasons- dramatic storms included. We were so impressed by Francesco who is such a lovely and welcoming host - nothing was ever a problem. He organised a small life vest for our toddler, suggested and made restaurant reservations, was easy to contact and so helpful in many different ways. We will definitely be back!

Our wonderful visit

Villa la Riga is a very special place located on the edge of Lake Como. It is beautifully designed and appointed and shade can be found outside every part of the day. As a family of 4 with a young baby plus other visitors, the villa was perfect. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the world go past in boats while loving the view, using the boat, playing bocce every night and swimming most days in the lake (baby too)). Finally, the meal cooked by Piero , one night was a highlight. Francesco was always ready to help out/sort out any problems at any time. We would return. 6th August 2019

Lake Como Vacation Haven

The villa is situated about a ten minute walk demo Argegno which is a small non touristic town with ample restaurants and a small grocery. Your host Francesco exceeds every expectation including superior communication, scheduling of transfers and tours, and access to a wine cellar. The grounds are lovely with great vistas, lounge seating, bocce ball count, Kalimantan and al fresco dining. Francesco can also schedule a private chef with a choice of four menus. Humberto was our chef and our meal was wonderful. The villa is comfortable, modestly furnished and the kitchen has everything you need. It was constructed in the early 70’s and has improvements over the years . Authentic all the way. We would definitely re book Villa de RIGA.
