Admirably tucked away just a quick sidestep off the vibrant little shop-filled thoroughfare known as ‘Calle della Mandola’ (Street of the Almond) connecting Campo Santo Stefano and Campo Sant’ Angelo with the famous Rialto Bridge and district to the north and St. Mark’s Square and its myriad attractions to the south, Ca’ Rossini 1 is on the first floor of the property and offers internet connection and air-conditioning throughout.

Sleeping four guests in fresh and uncluttered simplicity and named after the adjacent ‘Multisala Rossini’ complex ( handily housing a 3-screen cinema, bar, restaurant and supermarket for stocking up on supplies), Ca’ Rossini 1 features a white-beamed main open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a contemporary L-shaped sofa, a dining table seating six and a fully-fitted kitchen all decked out in subtle oyster colours liberally peppered with accents of hot mustard yellow.

The two comfy bedrooms are both en-suite, completely private and similarly arranged - one with a double bed and up-to-the-minute shower room bedecked in iridescent mosaic tiles to the rear of the main room, and the second sitting just to the side of the main room with a double bed and an equally modern en-suite shower room with extensive mosaic tiling and a washing machine.

Comfort, design and convenience combined - a great all-rounder of a property and a smart choice for those seeking out all Venice has to offer!

Moments on foot to some of Venice's finest attractions including the gorgeous Gothic Palazzo Fortuny (Museum of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo - famous photographer, painter, stage and textile designer), the charming Scala Contarini del Bovolo and the Teatro La Fenice, and within a few minutes of two vaporetto (water bus) stops for easy travel around the city - one at Rialto on the Riva Del Carbon and the other at Sant’ Angelo.

Also close to two ‘Traghetto’ services ferrying passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal (please check operating times) - one between the Riva Del Carbon near Rialto in the district of San Marco and the Riva Del Vin at San Silvestro in the district San Polo and the other between Calle Del Tragheto near Sant' Angelo in San Marco and San Toma in San Polo.

Location, Location, Location

We stayed here on our Europe Holiday with another couple. There was plenty of room for all 4 of us. The location of the apartment is prime! Right in the heart of San Marco when you arrive to the bus stop you do have a walk to get to it but that was the best part understanding the area. We all traveled with backpacks so there was no trouble having to roll our suitcases or carry anything heavy. Marta who waited for us at the stop greeted us and gave us a run down of the apartment, surrounding area and recommendations which turned out to be quite helpful when it was time to eat! If you are looking for something more modern, trendy and centrally located this apartment is perfect for you!

Lovely apartment in the heart of San Marco

Lovely clean apartment. Well furnished and equipped with everything you need. A great grocery just steps away. This apartment is located close to everything. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again. Christina was so very helpful in arranging our airport transportation and for providing us with all the information needed to make our stay perfect! Thank you so much Christina!

Bright, modern, comfortable apartment in excellent location

Loved this apartment! It's lovely and light, well equipped, comfortably furnished and beautifully clean, plus all the practical things like wifi and air conditioning worked really well. Its location is amazing - right in the heart of San Marco, with shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket literally seconds walk away, yet somehow it was also very quiet. Plus the team at Views On Venice were very helpful throughout. Would highly recommend it.

Fabulous apartment, excellent location

We absolutely loved staying at this great apartment. So close to all the sites, grocery store conveniently located. My only negative comment is we did not like the pillows but I always bring my own, just in case😀

A few improvements needed.

No where to put toiletries in small shower room. Bedside cabinet needed in smaller bedroom.shower door missing.

Views on Venice was founded in the late 1990’s when the concept of short term apartment rentals was in its infancy and rarely considered an option by most visitors to the city. As a ‘thirty-something’ Venetian excited by the new business and communication opportunities offered by the internet, I decided to link up with a close childhood friend in creating a partnership which, at the time, was a novelty in Venice.
The idea we had in mind was to approach the traditional management of my family’s apartments from an entirely different angle, while at the same time resisting the attentions of those wanting to transform my family's palazzo into a prestigious hotel.
Our aim was to offer these apartments, as well as those of friends, for rental to an international clientele who’d take pleasure in the comfort, freedom and authenticity of ‘living at home as a Venetian’ rather than merely observing the city from the confines of an anonymous hotel room or suite.
The common denominator then, as now, was to offer ‘something extra’ amidst an already extraordinary city - an added dimension which turns a ‘stay’ into an ‘experience’ and a 'dream' into 'reality'.
