This Spacious Luxury Chalet is situated within a wooded area in the heart of the High Tatras. Refurbished to a very high standard, including brand new appliances, quality furniture and slimline thermostatically controlled electric heaters. Ideally situated for skiing, with the ski resort of Strbske Pleso only 5 miles away, accessible either by car or train, stations of which are around 5 minutes away. Or for those who prefer summer alpine holidays, walking, cycling, fishing, AquaCity water park and a golf course are within easy reach. All in all we promote our Chalet as 'Home from Home'.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Shorter stays are welcome, please ask for prices. A £150 Refundable Deposit at the time of booking. Balance due 4 weeks before. £150 Refundable Deposit against Damages is also required at the time of booking - no charge for small accidental breakages. Should you book for 1-5 occupants and more people stay and this is not declared prior to arrival, the owner will deduct £40 and not return any deposit.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible, however check-out is by 11am and check-in no earlier than 2pm.

Kitchen: Brand new fully fitted kitchen and appliances. Two electric fan assisted ovens. Electric 'quickstart' hob. Large fridge freezer. Microwave oven. Worktop areas. Electric heating. Understair storage area. Access to utility room
Utility Room: Stainless steel sink. New 12 place dishwasher. Worktop areas.
Living Rooms: Spacious open planned lounge and dining room with new wood flooring. 2 and 3 seater sofa. Coffee table, wall lights and large log fire. TV(DVD/CD player only). Free DVD Club. Dining table to seat 6.
Other: Chalet has slimline thermostat electric heaters throughout and two large water heaters. Between front door and lounge is a good sized hallway that can be used for storage of ski's, walking and/or sports equipment.

Property is cleaned before and after stay. Additional cleaning and/or other services can be provided on request at a small additional cost. For stays of 10 days or over, towels & bedding is changed during your stay.

Golf
The nearest golf course is around 25 minutes away - Black Stork international resort at Vel'ka Lomnica is the perfect place to take in the beautiful mountain back drops. The 27 hole course caters for all manner of events and is the perfect place to begin or end your trip to Slovakia. You can hire just about anything there with prices very reasonable!

Skiing
The nearest Ski Resort is Strbske Pleso which is 5 miles from the Chalet. You can drive or let the train take the strain by walking to one of two stations, Tatraska Lieskovec or Tatraska Strba - both are around 5 minutes walk. A return ticket is less than 2 Euros!

There are a large number of smaller resorts within 20 minutes drive or you could head for Jasna, around 40 minutes drive, which is the bigest Ski Resort in the Lower Tatras and boast a huge lift system.

A 6 day lift pass is around half the price of France and with little or no queues!

Travel
The nearest Airport is Poprad which is 15 minutes from the Chalet. A number of Airlines use this small airport including Sky Europe from London Luton. Krakow (Poland) is just over 2 hours away and has a huge number of flights, including Easyjet, British Airways, Ryanair, Centralwings, LOT, AerLingus & Jet2.com. Bratislava is another option and has excellent Train transfers to Strba Station (5 mins walk to Chalet). Prices are 13 Euros each way.

Distances
Poprad 10 minutes. Strbske Pleso 10 minutes. Jasna 30 minutes. Krakow 2 -2 1/2hours.

Further details
Tesco Superstore is 10 minutes drive away. Beer is less than 1 Euro a pint and a meal starts off around 2-3 Euros. Poprad is also 10 minutes away and is ideal for shopping, esp the MAXI Centre with excellant shops and a state of the art bowling centre. A must is a visit to AquaCity at Poprad. At AquaCity they provide a modern and luxurious thermal bathing experience with a range of pools heated from 36° - 28° Celsius. All of the water comes direct from natural springs, pausing only to have some of its heat energy diverted for use in our three and four star hotels and to be purified by a UV cleaning system. This UV system (similar to thosed used by many municipal water companies for the purification of drinking water) thoroughly cleans and sterilises the water but retains all the healthy and therapeutic minerals. The immensely popular Blue Diamond Pool now has an exciting new sister pool that shares the same intensity of mineral rich, therapeutic, geothermally heated water, yet has an atmosphere all of its own. The Blue Diamond Pool II boasts a wonderfully relaxing ‘in-pool’ bar helping you to find a whole new level of sophistication and luxury. Thers also a laser show every night at 930 and if thats not enough thers a spa, steam room, gym, restaraunt, bar and a CryoTherapy Chamber. The Whole Body CryoTherapy Chamber (WBCC) consists of two specially constructed “Cold-Rooms”. These chambers are around the size of a small sauna and are able to accommodate six to eight people at a time. The first chamber is cooled to a temperature of -60°C. The second chamber is cooled to -120°C. Each of the chambers has a window and a two way intercom system so that the doctor is within sight and sound of the users at all times.

About the owner
I was looking in 2006 at buying a property abroad and from research Slovakia seemed to have everything. I visited the High Tatras and found the area stunning. Having returned to the UK and upon contacting estate agents I returned 2 months later and brought this property. Set in its on grounds, in a wooded area, yet only 6 minutes walk from a train station , it is in a fantastic location. Having been fully refurbished it now has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I just love this place in the winter to snowboard and relax infront of the log fire during the evening with a glass of wine, or walk around the moutains in the summer and have a BBQ. All in all, it has everyhting I wanted...I'm sure you'll feel the same...
