The apartment is situated 2 mins walk to the town centre where the are numerous bars and restaurants. It is close to a supermarket. The apartment has private, secure underground parking. It is situated on the first floor of an apartment block which was completed in the late summer 2006. The apartment is 62 sq.m. with a balcony - it overlooks a green area and is on a quiet side street. The furnishings are in a modern style. 2 other identical apartments can be rented if your party is larger than 4 persons and/or you require additional privacy.

5 mins to Liptov Mara lake which has 2 beaches.
Rafting available on the river Vah near Besenova (15 mins drive).
Canoeing - canoe hire available on Liptov Mara - lessons available in white water/slalom canoeing (Liptovsky Mikulas hosts the annual championships).
Golf
Golf course 30 mins drive in Poprad.
Skiing
Excellent location for skiing in both Low and High Tatras - close to Jasna Ski resort (15 mins drive) and Strsbe Pleso in High Tatras (25 min drive) -lift passes 1/4 of normal alpine resports. Huge investment recently in infrastructure to support skiing - many new chairlifts, cafes, bars etc. Ski School available at Jasna.
Travel
Nearest airport - Poprad - 30 mins drive on single majority dual carriageway road to apartment - flights direct via Sky Europe to Poprad from London Stansted (flights from £60 return if booked in advance).
Flights into Krakow, Budapest and Bratislava available on wide range of low cost carriers then hire car to drive to apartment (average 3 hour drive depending on city of arrival).
Distances
30 mins drive Poprad airport.
5 mins drive aquapark Tatralandia - 9 pools and 16 flumes.
15 mins drive thermal park Besenova - 6 pools.
15 mins drive to famous freedom cave and ice caves.
Car is recomended although all above are well served by local buses.
Further details
The high and low tatras are excellent for summer hiking, walking and mountain biking with many marked trails.
