The apartment has additional equipment, can be made available on request. When you arrive I’ll be pleased to welcome you with my husband. My husband speaks English and he will give you all the information in order to make your staying an happy vacation. In the apartment you will find a complete book of information along with a local map of places to go and see: mountains, hills, restaurants, shops, bars. Emergency Hospitals, Dr's and many other types of local information.

Coast/Beach
5 minutes by car or by bus to sandy beaches connected by ferries: Gulf of Poets, Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Isola D'Elba, Genova (aquarium). The nearby Mediterranean Coast, is one of the most famous beaches in Tuscany, where VIP's have their summer villas and mix (more or less) incognito with the many visitors, which by night, almost by magic, takes on the colours of the lights of the many crowded nightclubs. On the private beaches you pay to use them, the public beaches are free of charge.

Skiing
50 mins by car - Cerreto Laghi - Skiing pistes - Alto Appennino Reggiano Regional Park. A spectacular ride up to te G.E.A (Grande Escursione Appeninica) a world famous long distance trail. It is well worth going up simply to take a picnic and enjoy the magnificent views.

To visit the Cinque Terre means to visit 5 villages suspended between sea and earth, clinging on to cliffs and surrounded by green hills. For over 2,000 years, the beauty of Gulf of Poets has been sung by the words of poets and writers and has been portrayed by the works of painters and artists who were attracted by the nature which was wild but at the same time friendly to this gulf, impressed by the light sea breeze, by the winding hills or by the harsh rocks steeply overlooking the sea. The Alpi Apuane national mountain park with its many kilometers of maintained tracks is renowed for its hiking, trekking mountains villages and panoramic viewsThe Carrara is the world’s capital of the marble The ancient centre boasts of valuable monuments as the Cathedral (11-14th century) with its romanic gothic facade and the precious rose window. In Piazza Duomo there are: the marble belltower, the fountain of the 'Giant' and the house where Michelangelo stayed.

Pisa Airport is 25 minutes. Inexpensive flights are available to Pisa with Ryanair (£100 approx.) (Ryanair, BA, and major carriers), Florence airport, with excellent connections to major European cities. Airport: Florence airport.

5 mins by car from the apartment to ferry boat. By boat, touristic trip, departure from Marina di Carrara or La Spezia,you can to visite: Five Lands, Portovenere, Genova(famous aquario), Isola D’Elba. With by train-departure from railway of Avenza -by train you arrive in the centre of this tourist destinations: Five Lands, Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Genova, Siena.
These centres are reachable by car (nearby motorway: 5 mins by car).

A perfect area to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings in which to spend a vacation by the sea, and to make excursions to the neighbouring Apuan Alps and Apennines. This village is a wonderful place from which to explore the coast the mountains and cultural icons of Renaissance Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Genoa, can be reached in a short time and by any means of transport. Only 10 mins drive to Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi with its miles of beaches. Also a great base for exploring the Cinque Terre towns in nearby Liguria. Torre del Lago and the summer Puccini festival, artists' colony in nearby Pietrasanta. 15 mins by car to reach the world famous white marble of Carrara (Alpi Apuane), picturesque hills of Lunigiana (Appennino Toscano) with a landscape rich in visible traces of medieval history (castles, medieval village, romanesque pievi, museums). The spectacular Carrara marble quarries, with glistening white marble on the 3000m peaks, visible from the beaches! Souvenir shops near the quarries offer unique marble chess sets, bowls and sculpture. You can hike in the Apuan Alps wonderful base for sightseeing, hiking or relaxing. Along the coast are beautiful private beaches and also free, public beaches. Many of the long, wide beaches are organised into private bathing establishments equipped with all the facilities holidaymakers need for an entire day at the seaside. In addition to umbrellas, deck-chairs, sun-beds, cabins, showers and bars, many bathing establishments have a restaurant, an area for games and various sport facilities. The quality of the water is very good, there are lovely parks to play in, water parks and amusements for children, concerts shows with famous artists, and all kinds of sports and entertainment. Fishing is available along the coast or on the river Magra. Every morning fishermen come back with their boats and an amount of fresh fish to sell. One can savour the best Tuscan cuisine, with foods made up of fish and wines.
