Spandau, famous for its Christmas market has a good choice of restaurants to suit all tastes and a large shopping mall.
House swap
Minimum stay 3 nights. Booking is by email. A deposit of 100€ is payable at the time of booking with the balance due 2 weeks before arrival. Payment is to be made by bank transfer. A refundable deposit of 150€/weekend or 300€ for 7 days or more is payable

About the owner
Originally from the UK we have lived and worked in Berlin for almost 20 years. Having come for 'a couple of years' to see what it was like we never left. Now with 3 children we are quite settled and still enjoying this fascinating city and all it has to offer.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the property as it is close enough to the centre of the city to enable us (at that time without children) to get into restaurants, museums and all the other sites easily and quickly but is tranquil enough to allow us to get away from the hectic side of city life and for us to be able to enjoy the long summer evenings without having to leave the comfort of our own home.
Berlin's excellent transport system make Spandau a good choice for exploring, not only the centre of the city, but also the surrounding area including the historic town of Potsdam.
Unique benefits of the property
The property provides families and groups of friends with a home from home. The house is detached so noise levels are not a problem for you or for others. Children can play out in the garden or in the games room in the cellar. The BBQ and the terrace enable you to enjoy the long summer evenings, with grapes from the vines in the garden-if you wish.
