Notes on accommodation
Morning sun shining into the kitchen and lounge area. South facing. Located at the hinterhof. Therefore really quiet at night. Located on the 2nd floor, (therefore not suited for disabled persons). Living space 94 sqm, 2 spacious bedrooms, Bedroom 1 with Double bed and 1 Sofa Bed, Bedroom 2 with 2 x 3/4 single beds. open lounge with huge Sofa Bed, and dinning room leading to the kitchen with open plan. Sleeps up to 8 persons maximum. All rooms are fully equipped. Towels and linen are all provided. The apartment is occupied mainly with young families and students. This area is very family orientated.
Accessibility
Located on the 2nd Floor at the back of the block (hinterhof). Very quiet at night. No Lift. Therefore not suitable for disabled persons.
Outside
Back garden with barbecue facilities and drying area.
Coast/Beach
There are lots of lakes around Berlin all within reach with public transport. Bicycle is the all time favourite in the summer.
Special interest holidays
There is a bicycle rental shop on the same street as Lettestrasse just down the road, in case you wish to explore Berlin on bike! Its a great way to see Berlin!
Travel
Accessible with 24 hours public transportation. 30 minutes to Schoenefeld Airport and 30 minutes to Tegal Airport. Taxi from Tegel cost around 20Euros. Schoenefeld cost a little more and takes around 20 minutes by car. Parking is for free.

3 stations from Alexanderplatz. 10 min on the bicycle to city centre.

Banks, (24hrs) supermarket, hardware stores, restaurants, cafes, everything you need is just within the square of the park. The best and the cheapest bakery store is right at corner of Stargader str. and schliesemann str. Saturday Bio market produce on the square with fresh farm cheese and produce, Mauer Park offers flea-market every Sundays.

About the owner
I live and work in Windhoek. I bought this property to have a base in Europe. I have chosen Berlin because it is vibrant, full of energy, very individual, still embrace a rather hedonistic approach to life considering it is one of the main capital cities of Europe. The sub-culture, the art-scene- poor but sexy, a village feel yet with all the fantastic facilities that a city can offer. Most of all, Berlin changes its face with every moving second, yet, Berlin remains Berlin deep at heart. Where better place than the heart of the former Eastern Part of Berlin, Prenslauerberg? East West fusion manifests itself when you least expect. Mostly subtle but from time to time, as plain as the nose on one's face. The sub-culture is usually only perceivable after a fair stay in Berlin.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Helmholtzplazt, a small village park right in Berlin Mitte, amalgamate with historical old refurbished buildings, shape the moods for the changing seasons. Wonderful atmosphere, especially with the numerous cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars and clubs. All small little shops that defies globalisation. Fresh green market stalls every weekends, various flea-markets location to explore, bio-shops, individual designers hand-bags, shoes, clothings- sewn on the premise itself! The old GDR hardware stall, my fave heavy-metal bakery- a mug of freshly brewed coffee and a marzipan croissant, relax in the sun and watch the world go by. The old boy who has lived all his life just round the corner, who knows every residents, still selling his handcrafted wood work since the age of time.
Unique benefits of the property
A fantastic cafe just downstairs - perfect for those mornings when one wants to do nothing. Convenience stores just across the park - very convenient for those unexpected emergencies supplies. Rather small neighbourhood within the block - more privacy compared to most in this part of popular Prensberg area. Retro trendy yet tastefully casual bars, small but cozy - fantastic music selections - still using albums. Restaurants, bistros - all flavours you wish to choose from - upmarket or just a quick bite, all just a short walk away. 32 bits internet access.
