Our German holiday apartment is in Todtmoos deep in southwest Germany. The delightful landscape is idyllic for family holidays in Germany. The holiday accommodation we have to rent is in Todtmoos village. The ‘Hochkopf’ local mountain (1263m above sea level) provides a panoramic vision of the Alps and is a favourite for Nordic walkers, hikers and mountain bikers. German holidays in the lakes and mountains of the Black Forest are perfect for painting holidays, drawing, horse riding as well as walking holidays and Nordic and Alpine skiing holidays in the winter. Enjoy the delicate scent of summer meadows, the dark green shade of the immense forests, interesting special programmes and events in all seasons. Notes on accommodation
Large light, newly furnished centrally heated first floor self catering holiday rental flat in the Black Forest in Germany.
The living room of our Black Forest holiday apartment is large and includes dining for 6 as well as two double sofa beds. It has a large window to the side with views of the surrounding forest and mountains and the balcony is at the end.
The holiday home accommodation also has a breakfast bar in the kitchen, handy for couples preferring a quick breakfast with a cup of tea or coffee whilst on holiday.
Outside
The large balcony of our self catering holiday apartment rental in Germany has great views of the Black Forest and it has ample seating for dining.
The flat has its own garage. A garage a very useful facility for any holiday accommodation.
Skiing
The Black Forest offers Alpine & Nordic skiing. The highest peak in the region is the Feldberg. Feldberg mountain’s winter sports centre has a network of 14 ski-lifts and 16 ski-runs. The skiing levels start from the easy family ski run to the more challenging FIS World Cup ski run.
With 28 of the latest ski-lifts and well-prepared slopes, the Feldberg lift network and its surrounding ski areas form one of the most important winter sports centres in southern Germany. The modern chair ski lifts can carry more than 24,000 people an hour. As well as the skiing slopes there two kindergartens, a snowboard fun park, free-ride runs and a choice of restaurants in the Feldberg ski winter sports centre. So don’t forget to bring skis or snowboards in winter
It is thought to be one of best locations for cross-country skiing in Germany with over 600 miles of skiing trails and some of them are lit at night. Feldberg has a 75-mile skiing trail in the Black Forest Germany.

There is a supermarket only 5 minutes' walk away. The closest bank is only 1 minute's walk away. There are plenty of bars & restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
Germany's Black Forest has fairy-tale villages, such as Todtmoos, where you will find everything from thermal baths to casinos and above all mountains covered with pine and birch trees. A self-catering holiday rental apartment is the best base to explore the Black Forest. The forest is located in southwestern Germany close to France & Switzerland. Popular activities include skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, boating and ice-skating.
There are many scenic drives to be taken both by car and motorcycle. Our holiday rental apartments has a garage space so that you can park you car or motorcycle safely. Train journeys also showcase the best of the area.
Two of the most famous cities in the Black Forest are Baden-Baden and Freiburg. The former’s attractions include Roman-Irish baths, casinos, a 19th-century concert hall and a fresco-adorned Pump Room while the latter has its Gothic masterpiece Freiburg Cathedral and its famous Boys' Choir.
