Our well equipped apartments are in a closed down road in the centre of Ruhpolding. All apartments are centrally heated. There is a safe and a hair dryer in each apartment. There are also supplies of beer and soft drinks for purchase. Alfons will help you with ski hire and ski lessons in our winter sport shop Ski-ALM with special reductions for our house guests. And he enjoys playing golf with you. You can also try Qigong with Inga, who is a certificated teacher, for a better recovery. Our flats are beautifully decorated and nearly all facilities are within walking distance. Inga and Alfons will give you the best tips for golf, walking, mountaineering, (mountain) biking, skiing, sightseeing and a lot more.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per night in Euros for 2 adults.
For long term, which is more than a week, you pay 4 Euro less per night. Additional adults/children cost 8 Euros each per night. Prices include Ruhpolding's 'eXtra' holiday fun card (free entrance to the spa, to cable car to Rauschberg and Unternberg, local busses, and lots more...), bedlinen, towels, final cleaning, welcome pack.
City tourist tax is additional (1.90 Euro per person and night).
Changeover day
You can arrive and depart on any day of the week subject to availability. Arrival time is 5 pm - or just let us know us, what time you prefer to arrive. Departure time is between 9 and 10am.
Notes on accommodation
Guests are provided with a generous welcome pack of a fruit basket, washing up liquid, shampoo, bath and shower gel, soap and toilet rolls. If you like you can have breakfast in our attached café (only May-October). All balconies and terraces have a roof. The cool summer nights in our area are guarantee for a good sleep and a marvellous recreation.
Our apartments are non-smoking.
Accessibility
Sorry we have some steps in the house, so not suitable for a wheelchair users.
Outside
Parking is available at the house. A closed garage can be reserved upon request.
Coast/Beach
For swimming we have 3 lakes in a nature protection area with the best water you can image in 10 minutes drive. And lake chiemsee (which is also called 'The Bavarian Sea') with its 3 islands is only a 30 minutes drive. In Ruhpolding our spa 'Vita alpina' has got several saunas, a pool with waves and a special warm water pool with thermae water (the use of the indoor pool is included in our price).
Golf
Just look at the pictures of the homepage (www.golfclub-ruhpolding.de) and I don’t have to say much more. You may use the caddy car of our house. Our golf course is one of the best kept and most beautiful in the area - rated as No 7 in Germany! The 18 holes with some water are surrounded by the mountains of the spacious Ruhpolding valley. And afterwards you can get some good fresh Bavarian beer and Brotzeit in the ‘Golf-Stuberl’ and discuss your match. There are about 40 lovely and challenging 18 holes golf courses within 1 hours drive and we will tell you how you get to the best ones. You will be delighted. Sometimes we can join you if you like.
Skiing
Downhill skiing is available on the Winklmoosalm/Steinplatte (1869m) with snow for sure till Easter. We can arrange lessons and equipment hire in our winter sport shop Ski-ALM with special reductions for our house guests. There are cross country skiing trails 350m from the house and several cross country centres within 10 minutes drive.
Special interest holidays
Inga is a certificated Qigong teacher. So if you want to save your viability, if you want to make your energy flow in your body just join the lessons and you will feel a lot better. (No charge!).
Travel
Salzburg 38km. Munich 140km. Innsbruck 150km and Linz 150km airports are all within 2 hours drive. Salzburg and Munich are well served by scheduled airlines, they have budget airline flights. Munich is the best for getting to the village by train (about 2 1/2 hours). Car is not essential as there is a station in the village and several sightseeing tours are offered. There is an airport shuttle to Ruhpolding from Munich. We will be glad to pick you up at Salzburg airport for charge.
Distances
You can reach Salzburg and Lake Chiemsee with Herreninsel and the castle of King Ludwig II in half an hour. Munich, Berchtesgaden, Kitzbühl and Burghausen are 1 hours drive and Altötting, Innsbruck and Passau are all less than 2 hours drive.
Further details
All basic shops are in the village, also a bank with cash machine and several good restaurants within 1-6 minutes walk. In the Bavarian Alps are many pretty mountain villages. The area is wonderfully peaceful but with lots to do. There is nearly no sport you cannot do here. And if you are looking for culture you are absolutely right in our area. Salzburg with the ‘Festspiele’ and the picturesque Old Town is just half an hours drive.

'We found the accommodation excellent - homely, beautifully decorated and well equipped and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed relaxing of the balcony and made use of the books, puzzles and games available. We went on local walks and took the cable car up the Rauschberg. Our only regret is not having longer here. We have all had a marvellous time. Certainly a holiday to be recommended' Misra family from India.

About the owner
Hi! I'm Inga your hostess in "Ferienwohnungen am Schloss", which means "holiday apartments next to the castle". I was born in 1957 and married to Alfons who is the leader of Ruhpolding's ski school. We have got 1 son and 2 daughters (1986, 1990 and 1995). I love to have guests in the house, for they enjoy their stay here very much and then it is fun. Qigong, a traditional Chinese self healing method is one of my favourites and I finished my training to a Qigong instructor some while ago. There are also special weeks, when I offer a training course, if you like to join us.
My husband is a ski instructor and owns a winter sports shop, where he will give you discount. He also would like to show you our beautiful golf course and have a match with you.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Though the house is situated perfectly in the heart of Ruhpolding it is very quiet in a small lane with nearly no traffic. The station, several good restaurants, shops... are in walking distance. Our guests say when leaving "It was absolute perfect, but we have been here not long enough."

Ruhpolding offers everything you need for a perfect holiday. You find a lot of good restaurants and all kind of shops. Is perfect for hiking (all levels of fitness), biking, mountain biking, paragliding, skiing, cross country and you find nearly all kind of sports here - just ask me.
There are a lot of famous sights nearby, as Salzburg - Mozarts birth place. Berchtesgaden with Lake Königssee, Hitler's documentation center, "Eagles nest",... Lake Chiemsee with the famous palace. Herrenchiemsee of our 'fairy' King Ludwig II (as well as Neuschwanstein and Linderhof). Munich, the capital of Bavaria.Original Bavarian shows with "Schuhplattler".
Concerts, theater, museums.
Last but not least our extremely beautiful landscape with the mountains of the Bavarian Alps. And a well fitted house.
