This brand new apartment in Residence Les Pistes du Soleil, is situated in the village of Chinaillon, close to Le Grand Bornand in the Haute Savoie region of France. It is ideally situated only yards from the ski slopes,lift system and mountain walking/ cycling. The other side of the building leads to the main street of the village with grocery shops, ski equipment retailers and hire shops, tourist information, cinema, restaurants and bars. At just 5Okm from Geneva airport and with easy access from the motorway system getting to Les Pistes du Soleil couldn't be easier.

Every convenience is provided to help you enjoy your holiday. Facing south, the apartment enjoys beautiful mountain views, enhanced by a pleasant sheltered terrace. A ski locker is available for convenient and safe storage of skis. There is ample parking right by the apartments.A a locked garage is available for a cars or bicycles. In order to maintain the high standard of accommodation, we regret that pets are not allowed.

Tha apartment is all one one floor and is accessed by a lift. Disabled parking is available by the entrance to the building.

Beautiful views from south facing terrace with table and chairs, for outdoor eating!
Golf
Golf is available near le Grand Bornand - a beautiful course with fantastic views. Crazy golf is available in Chinaillon, near the apartment, and also in le Grand Bornand.
Skiing
An Aravis Ski pass will give you access to some 22Okm of ski runs. In Le Grand Bornand/Chinaillon there are 39 ski lifts, leading to 3 black runs, 13 red, 17 blue and 15 green. There are 2 ski schools and English-speaking instructors are readily available. In addition there is a Nordic ski school for cross-country skiing enthusiasts.
Travel
Geneva airport, with its regular scheduled flights including Easy Jet, is just 50km away. Car hire is not essential in high season as it is easy to get a taxi to Chinaillon and you can buy an Aravis Ski pass which gives you unlimited access to the ski bus and lifts in the Aravis area (Chinaillon, Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz). In low season there is less public transport available and fewer shops in Chinaillon are open, therefore a car would be extremely useful. Avis offer us a discount.
Distances
The village og Chinaillon is right on your doorstep, with a fantastic patisserie/ bakery a stone's throw away. A few km away is le Grand Bornand which offers more shops and restaurants, together with a large swimming pool. Annecy and Chamonix are a comfortable drive away, making great excursions.
Further details
Les Pistes de Soleil is ideally situated in Le Chinaillon which is a small village located at 1300m with some excellent ski runs. In winter it is a busy ski resort, whilst in summer it offers a wonderful base from which to explore the area. A short distance away is the larger village of Le Grand Bornand which is a delightful, unspoilt, hidden gem in the Haute Savoie. Summer activities include riding, golf, paragliding, walking, climbing and mountain biking.
There is plenty going on all year round. The area is famed for Reblochon cheese, which is sold at the weekly market and from local farms. Le Grand Bornand has an ice-skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, cinema, restaurants, cafes and a weekly market. Best of all are the stunning Aravis mountains which provide endless breathtaking views. In the summer the area has much to offer with fantastic walking opportunities. The beautiful Annecy and the famous Chamonix are short drives away. You can explore lakes by boat, mountains and glaciers by cable car and mountain railways. Switzerland and Italy are great day excursions via a choice of mountain passes or the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The stunning scenery, delicious food and friendly people will give you a wonderful holiday at any time of the year.
Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is requested at the time of booking. The final balance is due 8 weeks before the commencement of you holiday. In addition a £200 security deposit is required which will be returned provided the apartment is left clean and without damage. Payments can be made by cheque (made payable to 'Mrs G Wray') or debit/credit card.
