The Old Town hideaway is our gem of a retreat tucked away in the cobbled streets within the heart of Old Town Prague. It is a one bedroom apartment with a spacious lounge area that allows it to comfortably accommodate four people. The bedroom is particularly appealing given its vaulted ceiling allowing for a cosy romantic feel. Set in a listed building which nestles behind a giant regal set of doors and backing onto a quaint courtyard; the 'Old Town Hideaway' is the perfect retreat offering excellent value for money in an ideal location.

About the owner
We live in Holmfirth West Yorkshire home of Last of the Summer Wine. We got married in August 2009 in Prague as we love it so much. Frank is American born and raised and came to the UK in 1997 and is now a permanent resident. I (Jenny) come from Nottinghamshire where some of my family still live. We love walking in the countryside, historical sites and touring on Franks Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We went on a last minute city break to Prague not really knowing what to expect. The city blew us away is was so majestic and stunningly beautiful. We fell in love with it and decided it was somewhere we wanted to come back to again and again. We even got married in Prague. The Old Town is our favourite bit and we never tire of it, every time we go we find another hidden gem or little quarter to explore. We searched long and hard for a suitable apartment that was close to the Old Town Square yet away from the crowds and we eventually found one tucked away up a narrow cobbled street, off the tourist trail yet within 200 yards of it and snapped it up. Its a peaceful spot yet you are a minute away from countless restaurants and shops.
Unique benefits of the property
Ironically Tesco is just around the corner which is a blessing if you want to eat in. We also have stunning eating places close by (which is another blessing as high heels do not mix well with cobbles), the Cafe Louvre is right next to Tesco and does amazing breakfast in a art Deco setting. You couldnt ask for a more perfect location when visiting Prague and as a result we get a lot of repeat custom. It is located between the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge, right in the heart of things.
