The Oasis Palmeira apartments are in a residential area of Santa Maria about 100 metres from the white beaches of Santa Maria and just a short walk from the centre of town.
Just across from the studio there a couple of local bars & restaurants as well as local supermarkets.
The nearby beach is famous for having a wind surf school owned by the world windsurf champion Josh Angulo. Here they have a bar/snack bar where you can chill out with a cold beer whilst watching the surfers go by.
If you walk along the rugged coastline you come across a lagoon where you can take a picnic and sit and gaze at the fabulous surrounding views.
At night you can walk into town & sample the nightlife, from local bars to trendy cocktail bars. There is a host of restaurants from fresh sea food, Italian, Indian & even an Irish owned bar serving fab bar food & drinks.
During the day you can try out the numerous water sports on offer nearby from jet ski-ing, kite surfing, snorkeling or even island tours.

About the owner
My partner Steve and I came to Cape Verde nearly 7 years ago and fell in love with the island of Sal and its people.
I work for a property development company & Steve is a qualified electrician, general handy man. Our free time is spent on the beach with the lovely friends we have made, sipping ice cold beers & enjoying the crystal clear waters for a dip.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The beaches rival any beach in the Maldives or the Caribbean and the sea is a turquoise jewel. There are plentiful bars & restaurants and we have seen significant improvements on the island since we first came in 2005. We love the friendliness of the people and feel blessed to have been accepted as part of their community. Reminds me of the old days in the UK when everyone used to say 'hello' to everyone including strangers.
