From your terrace you can see the whole of Santa Maria bay, it would be impossible to be any closer to the ocean. Imagine waking up to this view every morning then enjoying breakfast whilst listening to the waves lapping against the shore. At night time enjoy a glass of something chilled whilst watching the sun set over the bay. The small colourful town of Santa Maria is located within a few minutes walk - here there are many fine restaurants, bars and shop.

Films, games and CDs are provided for your enjoyment-great to entertain the children when the sun is too hot. Good quality double sofa bed.
Bedroom 1 with double bed that can convert to 2 twins. Safety deposit box. Camp bed available for 5th guest.

Well equipped kitchen with kettle, toaster, hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer. Seating for 5.

For studio accommodation number 15 has a surprisingly spacious lounge/dining area with patio doors leading to the covered terrace with seating for alfresco dining, from here you can relax in your hammock and enjoy the sea / pier view. In addition to a sofa bed there is a double bed which can convert into 2 singles.
Satellite TV, Playstation and DVD are available. Films, games and CDs are provided for your enjoyment. Camp bed available for 3rd guest

Notes on accommodation
Located on the ground floor with no stairs and therefore suitable for couples and families of all ages. We have added those little extras that make your holiday complete. To entertain the children; beach toys, inflatables for the pool, and Playstation with games. For the adults hammocks on the terrace, DVD with films and CDs.
There are no hidden charges the price quoted is per property regardless of the number of guests. Electricity, water, air conditioning, weekly cleaning and linen change are included in the price. If you require additional cleaning this can be arranged and paid for at reception which is open from 9am-9pm. After 9pm the security guard will deal with any problems you may have.

Accessibility
Number 15 and number 4 are on the ground floor with no steps from the garden to terrace. The sliding patio door provides a wide opening allowing ease of access for those guests with mobility problems.

Outside
Located in an idyllic position directly on the beautiful white sandy beach of Santa Maria. With large freshwater swimming pools and beautifully landscaped gardens something special has been created. At night time a perfect romantic ambiance is created with lighting around the pool and beach.

Coast/Beach
The island of Sal was featured on Channel 4 when Cheryl Baker of Bucks Fizz fame was captured by the beauty of its unspoilt beaches and year round sunshine (4 July 2008). The Porto Antigo 2 Residence is situated directly on the stunning miles and miles of white sand which is Santa Maria's main beach. The beach can be accessed from the terrace of number 15 and number 4 in just a few steps.

Travel
Porto Antigo 2 is approx a 15 min taxi ride from Sal airport. Taxis are plentiful outside the airport and cost 10 euros. Flights Christmas 2010 £99 for 2 weeks.

Distances
The town centre of Santa Maria is a 3 minute stroll from the Porto Antigo Residence here you will find in excess of 50 superb restaurants and bars. The capital of Espargos is around a 20 minute drive, experience the local Alugier minibus for 1 euro.

Further details
The small colourful town of Santa Maria is located within a few minutes walk of the Porto Antigo Residence. Here there are many fine restaurants, bars, shops, banks, bakery and mini markets. Watch the locals entertain you from one of the many pavement cafes. For the more energetic try your hand at one of the many water sports on offer-kite boarding, wind surfing, diving-all are available within a few minutes walk. Santa Maria is renowned world wide for its water sports. The world windsurfing championships have been held in Santa Maria for the last 3 years.
