Just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Santa Maria where there are a number of bars and restaurants. Within a short walking distance there is a beautiful white sandy beach which is popular with wind-surfers and kite boarders. The studio is close to the hotel Sab Sab where guests can enjoy free use of the pool.

Coast/Beach
Apartment is 150m from beach (short 2 min walk!). The beach is quiet and family friendly, i.e. no huge surf. Josh Angulo World Champion Windsurf Centre nearby. The 'Tud Fish' vendor is also located here, which sells tasty freshly caught fish.
Travel
Amilcar Cabral airport is a 20 min taxi ride away. Taxi rank is directly outside airport and there is always a taxi available. Expect to pay around £7 one way.
Distances
Santa Maria town centre is a 5 min walk away. This is the main tourist area with great restaurants, bars and beaches. The capital, Espargos is next to the airport and is cheaper than Santa Maria. There are some good restaurants and bars here and can easily be reached by taxi. Pedra Lume is another 10 mins from Espargos and are beautiful salt pans which are well worth visiting.
Further details
1 min walk from the apartment, there is a large family bar with 2 pool tables and food which is served daily. Further along the road is a selection of bars in the town and numerous excellent restaurants.
