Santa Maria town centre is a 5 min walk away. The capital, Espargos is next to the airport. Well worth a visit, Pedra Lume is another 10 mins from Espargos.

One mins walk from the apartment, there is a large family bar with 2 pool tables and food served daily. Further along the road is a selection of bars in the town and numerous excellent restaurants.
