Set on the side of a hill with fantastic mountain views, this chalet, 'Vihren 518', is excellent for Winter and Summer holidays for families, couples and the elderly. Both the chalet and Bansko, Bulgaria’s holiday centre of top-notch skiing and superb Summer hiking (about 5 miles away), are located in a broad valley between the National Parks of the Pirin and Rila mountain ranges. Wonderful spa treatments available at the hotel ranging from a back, neck and shoulders massage to a day's spa treatment package. Katarino Spa complex consists of chalets and a 4 star hotel offering a wealth of activities to make your holiday a perfect one. Guests have the use of the hotel facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, bowling, tennis courts, snooker, table tennis; spa facilities including sauna, steam bath, massage room and solarium, internet room, souvenir shop. Laundry facilities if required, are payable locally. Restaurant and Mehana (pub).

Notes on accommodation
The chalet is ideal for children as there is a play area with slides etc as well as a small animal area. During the Summer you can eat out at mehanas in Bansko or surrounding villages where you can order grilled or barbecued meats with local salads such as shopska which has cucumbers, tomatoes and feta cheese. The chalet is of stone and wood construction.
Outside
Enjoy your breakfast on the balcony with spectacular views, or relax in the small garden. There is an outdoor pool as well as an indoor one for you to share with other guests staying at the complex.
Skiing
Complimentary bus to and from the ski slopes of Bansko every 15 minutes during the Winter season. Equipment can be hired from the hotel at competitive prices. Bansko offers excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates on 65km of track. Gondola up to the first station and then chair and drag lifts from then on. Plenty of opportunity to eat and drink up on the mountains too.
Travel
Sofia airport is 100 miles away. A car is useful in the non winter months when the ski bus is not running. But taxis can be arranged by the hotel all year round, including pick up from the airport.
Distances
Razlog is 1 mile away (bikes can be hired at the hotel).
Bansko is 5 miles away.
Further details
There is a large supermarket in Bansko and one in Razlog.(Lidl)
Booking notes
Weeks booked during peak times such as half terms, Christmas, New Year and Easter full payments please to secure booking. Other times 30% non refundable deposit is required to secure booking. The remaining 70% due 28 days before holiday begins. Refundable deposit of £150 is required in case of breakages but will be returned if all is in order. 10% loyalty discount for returning guests. No pets sorry. 10% discount for stays of 10 days or more.
10% discount if booked 12 weeks in advance.
