Location is key to any successful ski holiday and you can't get much closer to the gondola than the Bansko Royal Towers. The modern, very spacious 1 bedroom apartment is tastefully furnished to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you need to make your holiday a comfortable stay. The large private balcony gives you breathtaking views of the Pirin mountains and extensive ski runs. You can ski from the top of the mountain all the way back to the footbridge outside the apartment - practically door to door skiing! - then leave your skis at the Rossignol ski shop below the apartment and enjoy some apres ski in the Happy End bar situated next to the Gondola. There is a free to use fully equiped gym with sauna and steam room and heated indoor pool. There are several shops within the development incl. a bank with ATM, mini market, Rossignol ski hire shop. The on-site facilities and price, make this an ideal, exceptional value ski holiday.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 is carpeted and has twin beds and a comfortable pull-out single bed, large wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers, mirror and access to east facing balcony with mountain views.
Lounge area has double sofabed and a pull out bed and storage.
Bathrooms: Bathroom has fixed head shower, wc and basin with mirror. shelves and storage and a heated towel rail.
Kitchen: The open plan kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook. This includes cooker hob with extractor fan and microwave. There is a fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, together with a selection of cooking utensils. There is also a large table with chairs.
Living Rooms: Very large light and airy, open plan living area which leads directly onto the balcony. Contemporary furniture and subtle modern lighting. It has a double sofabed and a single sofa. Satellite TV with English channels, DVD player and Internet access.
Other: Very spacious entrance hall with plenty of storage, mirror and plenty of coat hooks, and double doors opening into open plan kitchen/lounge creating a very light and modern area. There is also a large walk in boot/ski room for further storage.

Towels and linen included. Property cleaned before the arrival of each guest and on departure. For all two week stays there is an optional mid stay clean and linen/towel change for a small fee.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is very well positioned overlooking the gondola station and ski runs with fantastic mountain views. It is serviced by a lift and is suitable for children. Smoking and pets are not permitted.

Accessibility
The apartment is on the first floor of Block 2 overlooking the river and is accessed by stairs or a lift.

Outside
Guests have free use of all the facilities on the complex which include large heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi pool, 12 person whirlpool, two saunas, steam room, well equipped gym with new spinning bikes, running machines and a weights machine, spa club with relaxation zone offering a range of treatments and massages, heated outdoor pool for summer use, communal gardens and children's play area. The complex has its own restaurant and bar. Rossignol ski hire shop, bank with ATM and a mini market for groceries and drinks. There is a creche situated in the large shopping mall next door to the Bankso Royal Towers. The shopping mall includes shops selling, clothes, Jewelery,ski wear, supermarket, homewear, there is even a cocktail bar and restaurant on the top floor with lovely views over Bansko town and the mountains.

Coast/Beach
Looking on a map, our apartment is a very long way from a beach but it does have a lovely heated indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool for summer use.

Golf
Pirin Golf and Country Club, which features an Ian Woosnam designed Championship golf course, is just 5km away from the centre of Bansko. The resort is perfectly placed in the beautiful Bansko - Razlog valley, in the heart of the Pirin Mountain range. This elite club offers holidaymakers the rare opportunity to tee off amongst pine tree-lined fairways in the morning and unwind in the evening in the thermal water spas.

Skiing
The apartment is situated just a 150 metre walk over a footbridge directly outside the apartment, to the gondola station which takes you up the mountain to the main skiing area. The well marked pistes are correctly graded and well groomed and are a mix of open snow fields and tree lined runs. There are a good range of beginner and intermediate pistes and the advanced skier will enjoy the Alberto Tomba black run and the famous Bansko off piste areas. The highest skiing is at 2600m, with a total piste length of 65km. The entire facility is equipped with brand new electronic hands free modern ski lifts and ample snow cannons to provide good skiing thoughout the season, they also allow you to ski right down to the Gondola station. This last 7km section is flood lit for night skiing. Medical facilities are located at the main gondola stations and Skidoo or helicopters are available if required. There are English speaking ski schools that run either group or private lessons.

Travel
There are 3 airports that are usable for Bansko - Sofia, Plovdiv and Thessaloniki in Greece. Direct flights to Sofia are available by British Airways and Hemus Air from London Heathrow, EasyJet and Air Bulgaria from Gatwick and Wizz Air from Luton. Air Bulgaria and Easy Jet also fly direct from Manchester.

Distances
Sofia Airport is 95 miles.
Plovdiv Airport is 80 miles.
Thessaloniki Airport is 120 miles.
2.5 hour transfers from the airports can be arranged with English speaking drivers or you can pick up a hire car and drive to Bansko. It's a pretty straight forward drive and Sat Navs are now available for Bulgaria to assist.

Further details
You will be met on arrival buy our English speaking representative who will show you to your apartment and answer any questions you may have. The apartment is a 10 minute walk down into Bansko Old Town where you will find plenty of traditional Bulgarian Mehanas where you can eat and drink with the locals. The best and liveliest apres ski bar is the Happy End bar near the gondola station which has live music on weekend nights. The Pirin mountains have a range of mountain bike trails that are being developed for summer use.

Booking notes
To reserve a booking, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required.
The balance will need to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure.
For bookings made less than 8 weeks before departure, the full payment will be required at time of booking.
A deposit of £100 against damage or loss is required to be paid with your final payment. This will be returned to you as soon as we hear from our agent after their inspection.

About the owner
We live in York, England and have 3 children - Oliver aged 7, Amelia aged 11 and Will aged 15. We love skiing and after visiting Bansko a few years ago we decided that it was such a lovely family ski resort that we would like to buy an apartment there. We usually manage to ski in Bansko at least once a season as it's such a safe, friendly experience without the hassle and excessive cost associated with other European resorts.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose to buy a property in Bansko after visiting the resort a few years ago and falling in love with it. We soon realised that this resort was moving very fast into becoming one of the best ski resorts in Europe. It offered value for money whilst providing excellent brand new modern lift facilities and well designed and managed pistes. The Bulgarians are investing heavily year after year in making Bansko an excellent family ski resort. We also loved the contrast between the modern ski area and the very quaint old town of Bansko with its cobbled streets and churches, you really feel like you are stepping back in time when you take the short walk to the town square.

Unique benefits of the property
The Bansko Royal Towers was our first choice of apartments to buy primarily due to its great location to the ski slopes. You can practically ski door to door. With all the other facilities that the complex offers we feel it makes for a fantastic holiday. We also enjoy the short walk into the old town of Bansko and eating at one of the many Mehanas, prices in Bansko are very reasonable and we feel there is no better value holiday in any other of Europe's ski resorts.
