A self catering luxury ski chalet within a hotel complex. The chalet can accommodate up to eight people - is part of a 4* gated hotel complex set in stunning mountain scenery. Its appointed with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen diner and sauna to relax in after a days skiing and a living area with a central log fire to create a cosy atmosphere in keeping with its surroundings. Complex offers bar cafe, heated indoor pool and a traditional Bulgarian restaurant serving authentic dishes accompanied by the finest Bulgarian wines. Relaxation is perhaps the best word to sum up the experience you will encounter. Thanks to a beautiful location and the superb hotel facilities you have a great base for your holiday in the mountains. With our chalet comes the use of a 9 seater Landrover Defender (ski season only). The vehicle provides you with the freedom to explore the surrounding areas or access the ski slopes at your convenience. We can accept credit/debit card payments.

Saturday is our preferred changeover day but we are negotiable on this.

Notes on accommodation
Fully heated radiators throughout and cosy wooden log fire within living room.
Outside
Balcony off main bedroom with table and chairs. Outdoor pool with sunbeds for guests in summer. Indoor heated pool with sunbeds. Tennis courts (to be booked at reception) football pitch. Childrens play area.
Coast/Beach
A number of Greek beaches are just a couple of hours drive away, Kavala being one of them or take a ferry across to Thassos.
Golf
There are two 18 hole courses in the area, including Ian Woosnam’s exclusive course at the Pirin Golf and Country Club just 1.5 miles from Redenka Lodge. The views are fantastic and the restaurant is well worth a visit.
Skiing
The pistes are approximately seven miles above the town on the northern slopes of Pirin Mountain and are easily accessible. There is a gondola lift and chair lifts giving you easy access up the mountain. You may drive and park at the bottom of the gondola (5 leva fee) or park further up the mountain where all ski lessons and further lifts are (7 leva). The beauty of parking at the bottom is to enjoy the exquisite ski run which comprises of 5 miles with fantastic views.
Special interest holidays
There are many excursions you may enjoy visiting the Rila Monastery being one and enjoying the historical scenery and exploring the history. Also a traditional Bulgarian night with dancing and scrumptious food can be enjoyed too. Ognianova, visit the natural spring or Belitsa a bear resort. Go to Dobrinishte and there is a trout restaurant where you can catch your own and have for dinner within exquisite surroundings. There is horse riding and fishing also golf. Plenty to do for all.
Travel
You can get a direct flight to Sofia from the UK. You can choose from Gatwick, Heathrow, London City, Luton, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, Birmingham, Durham, Newcastle, Isle of Man, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, the Scottish Isles, Belfast and Londonderry. Flights take under three hours. Redenka Lodge is about 150 km from Sofia and the drive takes about 2.5 hours.
Distances
The time scale in a car is 10 minutes to Bansko village and gondola. Shuttle bus is provided for use morning and evening with more catered for in busy ski periods. Included with our chalet is the full use of a 9 seater Land Rover Discovery. This gives you the choice of whatever time you desire to travel to the gondola to ski in the winter or explore the breathtaking scenery in the summer enjoying the breathtaking views in both seasons.
Further details
For half the year Bansko is a ski resort, but for the rest of the time the area is a superb summer holiday location. You can enjoy a huge number of activities, including trekking, riding and white water rafting in outstanding natural beauty.
The town of Bansko is a unique mixture of old traditions and modern style. New-built hotels and apartment houses are separated from more than 100 years old ethnographic houses by just a tiny, stone paved street. The town centre is a listed World Heritage Site and the clock tower has measured the time for over 150 years. With their famous hospitality and friendliness the people of Bansko make their guests remember the time spent here. You can take a bike ride through the unspoilt towns or take a mountain ride in a dune buggy with stops for food and a beer. A trip up the mountain in the summer gives you breathtaking views enjoy this whilst relaxing in the cafe (a well worth journey).Our chalet offers exclusive accommodation which is not rivalled by any other complex in the area. We have taken extreme care when furnishing our chalet and attention to detail has been up most in our motivations. The selection of interior photo's provide you with a sample of which we truly believe support our description and leave you in no doubt that what you see is the accommodation in which you will be staying. Coupled with the fact that you have use of the most capable of four wheel drive vehicle's you can be assured that your holidays in the mountains will be a experience to remember.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit will secure you the dates you require and six weeks prior to your departure we require the remainder in full. We require a refundable deposit of £100 to cover damage/breakages. We do recommend you also take out holiday insurance for your own peace of mind. We can accept credit/debit card payments.

Hi Peter,
We found our stay at the chalet a very pleasant and comfortable experience. It provided everything we needed to enjoy our holiday.
That said, I think the kitchen utensils could have been of slightly better quality and it would have been nice to have a can opener. The sauna was a nice addition to the chalet, which was always well received after a long day on the slopes!
The chalet itself is in a great location only 10 mins from the slopes and with wonderful views from the balcony. I very much recommend hiring the car with the villa, as it makes simple tasks such as shifting all your ski gear to the slopes, shopping and eating out.
We found the skiing in Bansko really good for amateurs and
intermediates. Queues for the gondola can sometimes be long, but if you get there early enough, it really isn't a problem.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and the chalet really felt like a home from home. I'm sure I'll be back! Great work Peter.
