Our Bansko apartment was bought for ourselves to enjoy in Winter and in Summer and is therefore equipped to a high standard. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, lounge and dining area, full kitchen, shower room and wc, separate wc and 2 balconies. The apartment is fully central heated with individual thermostatic controls on all radiators. Situated on the second floor the apartment is serviced by a lift. Part of a new development there is an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, massage room, cafe/bar, ski/boot room, ski shuttle. With the exception of the massage all the amenities are free of charge. All linen and towels are provided and the apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival. A welcome pack of basic foodstuffs is provided for your arrival. Our apartment is managed by an English couple, living in Bansko. They will provide any assistance you require during your stay such as pre arrangement of ski hire/lessons/passes etc.

Golf
An Ian Woosnam designed golf course, reputably the best in the Balkans, has been developed on the outskirts of Bansko.
Skiing
Bansko is the premier ski resort in Eastern Europe and is highly rated by famous skiers such as Alberto Tomba and Marc Giardelli. Our apartment is situated a short distance from the main gondola, 5 minutes by regular ski shuttle, 15 minutes on foot. The ski area is situated between 1000-2600metres and good snow cover between December and May is assured due to an extensive coverage of over 160 snow cannons. There are 70 km of marked pistes with a selection of blue, red and black runs to suit all abilities. A modern ski lift system is in place with the latest microchip ski pass technology. Snow boarders are well catered for at the Platoto fun park whilst facilities for children are excellent with a nursery and dedicated ski areas. Off piste, heli and night skiing are available. There are a number of restaurants on the mountain and good rental outlets if needed. For apres ski there is a large number of bars and restaurants providing excellent quality food and drink at incredible prices.
Travel
Sofia or Plovdiv airports can be utilised to reach Bansko. The transfer time is between 2-3 hours. Private transfers can be arranged. Car hire is not essential once in the resort.
Distances
Our apartment is a short stroll away from the Old town where the bulk of the shops, bars and restaurants are located.

Bansko is quite rightly renowned as a winter Ski resort, there are however also a wide range of summer activities such as walking in the breathtaking mountains. A variety of accompanied or unaccompanied options are available. mountain huts are available for overnight stays. Mountain biking, horse riding, white water rafting, lakes and caves, birdwatching, fishing and shooting, golf, narrow gauge railway, historic buildings and Monasteries. Bansko is a cultural and historical centre dating back to the 10th century and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Area. Hot mineral springs and Europe's only geyser, International Jazz Festival, Bear Sanctuary, opened with the support of Brigit Bardot and now home to a number of rescued 'dancing bears'.
