This beautiful chalet provides luxury comfort set in stunning scenery that has the most beautiful unspoilt views over the mountains, enabling summer and winter activities to be enjoyed within this magnificent countryside. The chalet is the whole of the property shown in the picture and is as accommodating for a party of 4 as it is with a party of 12 people. Bulgaria is a beautiful country that enjoys excellent weather, which can be enjoyed in the summer and winter. Prices are every attractive in Bulgaria, that provides an excellent cost effective holiday, whilst enjoying luxurious accommodation, beautiful scenery, superb food and plenty of activities and places to visit to keep busy throughout the stay.

Notes on accommodation
The chalet is centrally heated by a wood burning boiler. There are radiators in every room of the property. Each shower room and kitchen have independent electric water heaters. The chalet has ample stocks of wood for the boiler and living room open fire.
Accessibility
The chalet is positioned at the top of the village which provides the chalet with the most fantastic, undisturbed, panoramic views of the mountain. As a result, it is advised that the property is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
There is a large garden that is maintained by a local gardener. This provides a good space for outdoor eating, leisure and barbecues. Behind the property is a meadow that is is excellent for sport activities. Being at the top of the village, there are so many tracks that lead from the property to enjoy walks, hikes, and exploring the mountains beyond.
Skiing
The Rhodope mountain range offers the most southern skiing resorts in Europe. It is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort with wonderful snow throughout the whole winter season. Pamporovo and Chepelare are situated on 1600m above the sea level at the foot of peak Snejanka (1926m) and Mechi Chal (1873m).
The range has an exclusive climate featuring a soft winter with about 120 sunny days during the skiing period from mid-December to mid-April. Beginners are offered many runs and there is plenty of tuition available. Difficult ski runs, like The Wall in Pamporovo, are an excellent exercise for every skiing expert. The Mechi Chal run in Chepelare is the longest run in all of the Bulgarian ski resorts and is used for international competition.
More than 100 highly qualified ski instructors fluent in different languages are here to teach both beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Ski rentals are available near the ski runs and the lift stations.
Travel
Travelling to Bulgaria and then onto the chalet and mountain area is a very easy process and we can help advise the best ways to travel. Ryanair operate scheduled flights from Stansted to Plovdiv (just a 45 minute transfer to the chalet), as well as winter chartered flights. Wizzair, Easyjet, BA, and Bulgaria Air fly to the capital Sofia (2.5 hour transfer via 2 very good roads - a quality motorway and then a scenic mountain road). Help can be provided with flights, transfers and car hire.
Distances
The chalet is located in the pretty village of Pavelsko which is in the Pamporovo area. Ski lifts are located in the resorts of Chepelare and Pamporovo. The nearest airport is at the foot of the mountain, south of the city Plovdiv.

Places of interest within 30 minutes from the chalet include swimming, fortresses, monasteries, churches, cities, towns and villages, caves, Roman ruins, rock formations, river activities, walking, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, cycling, horse riding, restaurants, bars, spa facilities, bowling and shopping.
The village has shops that provide basic supplies and supermarkets are located in the local towns and cities.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required for each booking, followed by the balance payable 8 weeks before the rental period.
A security bond is required of £150 that is returned after a successful inspection of the property.

We live in Leicestershire (England), and have 2 children who are both enjoying primary school life. My wife and I both work, but spend most of our holidays in Bulgaria, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having a young family, we really wanted to invest in the mountains to give us a regular get-away to their beauty and tranquillity. We therefore spent 2 years building this wonderful chalet.
In the winter, it gives us a great family holiday of skiing. As the boys get older, it is going to be fascinating to see them progress from the nursery slopes to the black runs.
In the spring, summer, and autumn, it is lovely to escape the hustle and bustle of English life, and enjoy the space, beauty and peacefulness of the mountains. The sun always seems to shine, and we just love exploring the area - hiking up into the mountains, playing in the meadows, walking down into the village centre to enjoy a chat and a drink, or getting into the car and visiting the many local tourist attractions.
Unique benefits of the property
The chalet comfortably accommodates up to 12 people. When the 4 of us stay there, it is really nice to have lots of space, but at the same time still feeling cosy and comfortable. The chalet sits at the top of the village and as a result has one of the most amazing panoramic views that I have ever seen from a holiday property. Beyond the chalet are fields and meadows and tracks, all ready to be explored and to enjoy. The food in the local restaurants is excellent, and one benefit from holidaying in Bulgaria is the cost of living. The spending money savings made by holidaying in this part of the world, rather than, say, Western Europe, would probably pay for the chalet rental (and more).
