All ideally positioned for you to wrap up warm and to sip a glass of mulled wine (or a local brew) and watch the sun disappear over the snow capped Rhodope Mountains. The villa has its own garden area and patio. Forest Nook village has its own outdoor swimming pool.
Skiing
Pamporovo is ideal for families as its blessed with snow and sunshine and does not suffer from the extreme conditions of many other Europe ski destinations. Although particularly suited to beginners and intermediates, its Giant Slalom run really taxes the experts too. A lift pass costs around £55 (compare this to European resorts that cost up to £200 at peak season) and one of the best ski-schools in Europe; approximately £145 per week for 6 days of lessons, ski and and equipment hire. Beat that! You’ll be hitting the top slopes in no time without breaking the bank! Snowboarding: Pamporovo is great for snowboarding as the nursery slopes are suitable for perfecting the techniques you can later exhibit on the slopes further up the mountain! All ski lifts operate from 8.30 am - 4.30 pm and for a couple of euros you can catch the shuttle buses that run each morning and evening.
Special interest holidays
Ski-doos and quad bikes are available for hire locally. Tried and tested - absolutely fantastic driving through the snow covered pine forests. There's also a husky ride for the children at the slopes and sledge hire.
Travel
Fly direct from most local airports to Plovdiv during the winter months – 85k from Pamporovo. Alternatively save money by flying direct from Manchester or London to Sofia (220KM from resort) for around £150. Book online at Bulgaria Air (price is in local currency), British Airways and Easyjet. You could fly from Luton to Sofia from as little as £80 with Wizz Air. Airline Network or Charter flights Centre also have flights to Sofia and Plovdiv.
Further details
Apres-ski in Pamporovo is fun and inexpensive with a cost of living at around a third of other European resorts; a quality 3 course meal costs £4 - £5. There's the local folk restaurants that serve traditional local specialities with some extremely palatable Bulgarian wines as well as lively bars and discos for those party animals amongst you.

We can arrange for you to be collected and returned from Sofia or Plovdiv airports and taken direct to your villa. Approximate cost is £15 each way.
