Our property is ideal for the holidaymaker. It's central location means that everything you need is within walking distance. You could arrive from the airport, catch a train to Circular Quay and then a ferry to Manly. A flat walk to the apartment building would take no more than 5 or 6 minutes. What better way to arrive in Sydney! Ocean and harbourside beaches are within easy reach. Interesting walks, cycling, swimming and snorkeling are all available. Manly is all about food! Prepare it yourself, or look at the variety available all within easy reach of your apartment - pub meals, takeaways of all descriptions, restaurants from cheap eats to top of the range dining. Below our building on a Saturday there is even a farmers market. This compact apartment is a great base in Sydney. If you have adult offspring in Sydney and you want to visit without the discomfort (and often the stress!) of staying with them, this apartment is for you.

Bedrooms: Bedroom has new Queen size bed, bedside tables and clock radio. There is a built in wardrobe with mirror doors.
New double sofa bed in living area with 6 inch mattress.
Quality sheets on all beds.
Bathrooms: Bathroom is en suite to bedroom and has a shower over the bath.
Quality towels and bathmat provided.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a small fridge, electric glass hotplates and a combination convection/microwave.
The kitchen benches are Caesarstone.
Utility Room: The unit does not have its own washing machine, but there is a coin operated laundry in the building. A washing basket and small airer is provided in the unit.
Living Rooms: The furniture comprises the double sofa bed, two comfortable armchairs, a wall mounted HD television with DVD player. There is a fold out table with 2 chairs plus 2 extra chairs are also available.
Other: There is a table with two chairs on the balcony so that you can sit and enjoy the view.
Cleaning/towels/

If your stay is more than a week fresh linen will be provided. The property is cleaned at the end of your stay.

Notes on accommodation
The unit is in Central Manly and that means that from time to time there is noise from below. However as the unit is on the ninth floor this is not usually a problem. Mostly the main noise you hear is the sound of the surf!
The unit is suitable for children and young babies but I would worry about the balcony with toddlers.

Accessibility
The building has two lifts and the ninth floor is the top residential floor. The unit would not be suitable for a wheel chair as there are about 5 steps down to the unit as well as steps linking the living and bedroom area.

Outside
On the roof of the building there is a small pool. At the moment a shared barbecue facility is being constructed which would be available for use by guests.

Coast/Beach
Manly Beach is 50 metres away where a patrolled beach is located for those who like the surf. Alternately you can walk around the picturesque path to Shelly Beach where you will not be bothered by waves and where many people snorkel or learn to scuba dive. (Some people actually swim from Manly to Shelly Beach but this is only for the experienced swimmer)
There are also several beautiful harbour beaches within walking distance.

Golf
A golf course is about a ten minute drive away

Travel
There are easy connections to Sydney airport either by public transport (Train then ferry) or by shuttle services or taxis.
A secure car space is available with this unit if required.

Distances
Manly is "seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care" as the old saying goes.
Central Sydney can be accessed either by ferry or bus.
Warringah Mall which is a modern shopping Mall is also nearby with regular bus services and large parking areas if you are driving yourself.

Booking notes
Payment is required in Australian dollars by direct deposit to our bank account.
Generally a 50% deposit is required at time of booking with the rest payable before the commencement of your stay.
Other arrangements can be discussed.
From May to September longer stays (more than 1 week can be negotiated) Winter in Manly is mild and generally sunny with great opportunities for walking, golfing etc.

About the owner
We have traveled the world quite extensively and have enjoyed staying in holiday apartments rather than hotels. We purchased this apartment in Manly with it's magnificent view and fabulous location so that we could offer fellow travelers a wonderful experience in Manly, which is one of our favourite places.

Year purchased: 2009

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We walked into this apartment and were blown away by the view. The next most important thing was the location. Like many people we normally need to drive to go to the shops, beach, restaurants etc and this location means you can put away the car and walk to wherever you need to go.

Unique benefits of the property
When staying at this property you can be as energetic or as lazy as you want to be. You need not leave the unit if you don't want to and can just stay and enjoy the comfort and watch life in Manly from high above. Alternatively you could cycle, snorkel, surf or walk. Details of some beautiful walks are available in the unit and also at the Tourist Bureau on Manly Wharf. When it comes to meals try out some of the hidden restaurants in the small arcades and alleyways as well as the larger ones along the oceanfront or on Manly Wharf. Details about some lesser known places are provided. There is a convenience store located adjacent to the building and Coles Supermarket is a 5 minute walk away.
